Cooool view!!!! What's the fishing like???

Well, in the 'green' pond, it's only about 3-4 feet deep. It's about 150' long and at it's widest 25'. There are small fish, frogs, and turtles.

The bigger pond has small mouth bass, more turtles and frogs.

Lots of water birds visit too. Ducks, geese, and herons.

There's another pond along side of my neighbor's house where 3lb. smallmouth bass are swimming around. Fox Lake is about three miles west of my house. Lots of fish in there. My area is considered in the "Chain O' Lakes" region. Only drawback is the mosquitoes.

Especially on that little pond and in that thick brush in back of my house. You can't go in the backyard once it starts getting dark.

Unless you want a transfusion.

It is a cool view though. GREAT for watching thunderstorms. Last week we had a MONSTER lightning display. TONS of cloud to ground lightning not more than a quarter to a half mile away. Repeatedly striking all over the place. Thunder from HELL! It was cool to watch.

Can you believe that I had hacked down all the foliage in early March??

You could easily see the burm and the pond across....

Then, in May, the foliage is coming back. You can still see the burm.....

In June, it's getting a lot thicker and the duckweed is starting to form on the top of the non-moving pond...

And now, of course, it's so friggin overgrown, mostly from the record amounts of rainfall in July that it is like a forest!

Looks like as soon as the first cold snap hits (to fend off the ticks) , I'll be back out there hacking all of that stuff down.

Again. It's a LOT of work.

Morning Rushians!

Bright, beautiful day in Tampa Bay.

It's a beautiful day in this neighborhood,

A beautiful day for a neighbor.

Would you be mine?

Could you be mine?...

It's a neighborly day in this beauty wood,

A neighborly day for a beauty.

Would you be mine?

Could you be mine?...

I've always wanted to have a neighbor just like you.

I've always wanted to live in a neighborhood with you.

So, let's make the most of this beautiful day.

Since we're together we might as well say:

Would you be mine?

Could you be mine?

Won't you be my neighbor?

Won't you please,

Won't you please?

Please won't you be my neighbor?
