rushgoober
Do whatever makes you happy. Speaking for myself, however, being a fan for 31 years, if I listened to them every day after all this time (I don't), I'd probably think there was something seriously wrong with me. DistantEarlyRushFan
I just moved to another city and all I brought was an inflatable mattress, clothes, my bass and amp and my Rush discog. I am playing a new album every day, in order, and it colors my day in an interesting way. Especially because I am new to my surroundings
Lost In Xanadu
When I listen to my ipod - which is nearly every day at work - a few Rush songs will come on.
metaldad
If it pops up on your I-pod, cool. If you just listen the them all the time?
Aikenrooster
QUOTE (greyfriar @ Aug 17 2012, 07:07 AM) No, but do not everyday. I can't do that. Drug tests.

bluefox4000
It sure is ok. I don't listen everyday myself.....need a good mix of things. Too much of anything WILL melt your brain..lol Mick
LedRush
I listen to about 5 hours of music. It is rare that not one Rush song will come up a day. Also, I sleep with music on, and I'll listen to either an album or a sleep mix of Rush about half of the time. So, yes.
LyndseyG
I used to when I first got into them. I've started to investigate other artists since but I guess I still listen to them pretty often. I tend to go through their discography then listen to something else for a couple of weeks or so.
Queslington
It is very rare for me to go a day without listening to them.
Ventris
Most of the stuff on my mp3 player (my PSP) is Rush so I find it hard not to listen to them everyday. That and their music just makes me feel better.
Principled Man
QUOTE (Aikenrooster @ Aug 17 2012, 07:04 AM) Do I need to stop listening to Rush everyday? Only one person knows what what you need to do....and that person is YOU.
Animate
According to some people, for example my husband, listening to Rush everyday is in fact NOT OK. Unless I wear earphones, or turn the volume down waaaay low. Then it is ok. BTW- ru a gamecock?

ColdFireYYZ
For the first few months or so that I was a fan I listened to them daily. I mostly listen to full albums now instead of playlists/shuffles so an album a day by the same band is a bit too much for me.
DBJetsman
Hell no. It's a proven study that listening to Rush everyday lowers your risk of cancer by 50% (or maybe the study was that it caused hearing loss ). But yes, I do listen to Rush everyday... robertrobyn
I'm still recovering, but about 3 weeks ago I had a 16gb USB flash drive surgically implanted into my brain. All I do is blink 3 times and it comes on. But seriously It is ok to listen to the boys everyday. It is a motivator for me and it brightens my day. Have MP 96/24 on right now cranked up, while the wife is out. The best way to hear them my fav disc out of all of the (MP 96/24 BR)

SUBDIVISIONS
I do, every f day since 1990 my 3 ipods spit tons of Rush songs, Even in Shuffle mode You can count 3 Rush songs in a row. My shelfs are bending about to collapse for gianormic amounts of Rush Cds, dvds, cassettes, blueray VHS, vinils, magazines, etc.

clearingsky
It is OK, up until you get to the point that you know every note, every lyric of every Rush song ever recorded. That way when you run across a hater, you can back them down easy with their lack of knowledge.
Bastille Dave
Last night I grabbed AFTK as I was running out the door, popped in "Xanadu" and stopped it before the intro was over and realized I needed to take a break from Rush. After listening to it 63,288 times in 30+ years, sometimes it just doesnt sound inspiring. Maybe I'll wait a month or so and it will sound great again. HowItIs
No, you do not. There is nothing wrong with listening to Rush every day. I listen to Rush every day unless I'm in a situation where I'm not able to. Rush is in the car stereo 90% of the time (100% when I'm driving). I have all Rush on my computer and my MP3 player so I can listen any time of day or night. Edited August 18, 2012 by HowItIs
