Since it was Record Store Day, I got these two RSD exclusives...

Steven Wilson - Luminol (Demo)/The Watchmaker (Demo) 12" vinyl

Katatonia - Buildings 7" vinyl

In addition, at the Opeth/Katatonia show on April 19, I got Dead End Kings signed by the members of Katatonia.

Went "Goodwill-ing" today, and found a ton of great stuff!! All the vinyl records were in great condition, and only a dollar.

Jethro Tull - Stormwatch

Blue Oyster Cult - Agents of Fire

Blue Oyster Cult - Fire of Unknown Origin

CDs

A Perfect Circle - eMOTIVe

Jean-Luc Ponty - Live at Chene Park

Shpongle - Tales of the Inexpressible

Djam Karet - Reflections From The Firepool

For those not familiar with them, Djam Karet is a fairly obsure prog band from California. I've never listened to them, but I was just reading about them this afternoon. Went to Goodwill, and they actually had one of their albums!! I was pretty surprised, to say the least. All in all, it was a great day, and I'm slowly building a vinyl collection!

Porcupine Tree - Yellow Hedgerow Dreamscape

Still haven't decided if I should get this. Is it worth it?

As a whole, I think YHD is better than OTSOL but individually the tracks are a hit and miss (Mute and the original version of YHD are the best tracks off this album IMO). I'd say it's worth it if you want to have a complete collection of the PT catalogue that's currently in print (not counting limited edition, Transmission label and download releases). I do want to point out that the booklet/liner notes of this edition of YHD are of interest as SW sheds some light about some stuff regarding YHD that most fans probably didn't know about. The booklet includes a track listing and pictures of the cover of Tarquin's Seaweed Farm and The Nostalgia Factory (unfortunately, it doesn't include the fictional story behind PT).

The new NIN is what I'm looking forward to.

Recently, I've acquired these great albums:

Black Sabbath - 13

The Goo Goo Dolls - Magnetic

Jimmy Eat World - Damage

Jermaine Jackson - I Wish You Love

Well, I bought Skillet's Rise - Deluxe edition for $20.

To me, I though it was worth it. 12 songs plus three extra songs and a DVD of one of their concerts (which is a 10 song set) with behind the scenes footage and a short 15 min. documentary of the making of the album.
