J2112YYZ
Let's slow down here. How about we wait for this years tour to get going first before jumping to the next one? We don't know what they're playing on this tour yet, so it makes no sense to guess what they might do two years from now. I'm all for having fun and creating some fantasy setlists but this is jumping the gun way to soon.

Dude, add your own set list, don't butcher mine. Bullshit? Honestly the only song you added that I would consider replacing would be Finding my Way. Closer to the Heart is over played, Fly by Night hasn't been done in ages. Why? Who knows, maybe because they can't reproduce the rhythm guitar during the lead. And the title would pretty much tell you were to place "In the End"
JohnnyBlaze
Why stop there? Why not guess the setlist for the 2nd leg of whatever the name of the tour is that they're on in 2016? I'm still not buying that R40 will happen in the first place: tour this year for CA, tour again in 2013 for the 2nd leg of CA, then tour yet AGAIN in 2014 for what is essentially R30 part 2? micgtr71
I think that R40 will be a great show, but I was contemplating that R50 will be the setlist to remember. For R50, I predict (to hell with that, I know) that they will play a solid four hour show. Here's the setlist for that show. I know that they will keep it in chronological order because of the nature of 50 years. Here Again (because they will be here...great opener!) What You're Doing Fly by Night Anthem The Necromancer 2112 (whole thing) Closer to the Heart The Trees Spirit of Radio Jacob's Ladder Natural Science Tom Sawyer Camera Eye YYZ Set 2 Signals Complete Afterimage (Neil will be OK by then) Distant Early Warning The Big Money Prime Mover Show Don't Tell Face Up Cut To The Chase Test For Echo Vapor Trail The Wreckers Encore: Rush song from 2017 release Rush song from 2021 release How do you think that the rush songs from the future albums will work in the encore? I personally think that that if the 2017 release has a cool acoustic intro the encore will rock! Any thoughts? At 71, they may have to tune down to C for Geddy's voice, but 2112 in its entirety is going to rock! Edited June 30, 2012 by micgtr71

Alex did say they are playing songs they have not played in a long time and I feel Fly By Night will be one of them.....And Alex said in the 80's that they were bored of playing Fly By Night so they cut it from their setlist back then...They can't reproduce the rhythm guitars in the lead? Of Dog Years notoriety - I have always really liked it and was even a bit let down when they didn't even play it on the RTB tour. Nice pop song, as far as Rush do pop songs. I wouldn't even go so far as say that RTB is subpar. It was actually my first legit record by them, before I only had chronicles, which was my step dad's. So, I actually have a nostalgic spot for RTB. I love Where's My Thing and I'm crossing my fingers that they bust it out this tour. I also like Neurotica. barchetta90480
Neurotica is ok. What I don't like, are Bravado, You Bet Your Life, Heresy and The Big Wheel. I'm not too much a fan of the title track either. Made too many songs to be a really good album back then. But 20 years on, I happen to listen to it from time to time and think it has aged better vthan I thought it would. But as it was your first legit album - I completely understand you. That's where my soft spots for Grace Under Pressure, Power Windows and Hold Your Fire come from.
