I went with #5 Medley. It would be a song with subdivisions, one might say.

Ahem.

I'm surprised that only has two votes.

I'm not. Rush aren't into medleys these days, not since they ditched having opening acts on the T4E tour.

What about the R30 medley...?

trink36.gif

Good point! But that was a specifically-themed chronological medley to open those anniversary shows with, and it was all instrumental, which provided a nice backdrop for the photo montage they showed on the screen.

That's a little different than mashing a few songs together to try and represent as many albums as possible in a two-hour show.

This will be an anniversary show too, 30th anniversary of Signals, and what's to stop them doing instrumental versions of Signals tunes...

As much as I would love it if they played Signals in full, I went with option #6. I think they'll do what Iron Maiden did for their 25th anniversary of The Number of the Beast and play half of the album with these songs on the set, 2 songs for each side of the album. Subdivisions is almost a gimme, but I can definitely picture these three songs making the set.

The Analog Kid

The Weapon (with Count Dracula intro)

New World Man

And if they DO play a 5th song from Signals, I prefer it to be Chemistry for the purpose of getting more of "new to live CD/DVD" songs for the future.

I think they'll mention 30th Anniversary of Signals and go headlong into:

Subdivisions

Analog kid

Digital Man

The Weapon

New World Man

Anything else would be a real big surprise!

The idea of doing "Losing It" is the most intriguing part of this whole thing, I think.

I'd love to see them do it. I am particularly fond of it, and the album. It might be my wife's favorite Rush tune.

I remember coming on this board a ways back saying that i had heard Rush was planning on playing an entire album live. I was mocked . Pretty much told i was and idiot and had no clue. Then there was the Time Machine tour (Moving Pictures)....my friends imfo turned out to be right ....though a tour too late. Now everyone is predicting Signals might be played. How come nobody is getting mocked? Funny how things work out eh? rofl3.gif

Well, Losing It is also one of my top favourite Rush songs. If they would play it live I would like to have it as close as possible to the original. They could of course experiment with it, but not an all out acoustic version. no.gif I want them keys and them violins.
