I don't know how you sit thru that year after year. You've got to stick with your team through thick and thin. I just wish there was a little more success to go with it but you can't abandon your team when times get tough. One good thing about being a Cub fan, you usually don't have much trouble deciding whether to watch football or baseball in September...it's the NFL all the way! BTW, my first year as a Cub fan? 1969... I'm a Bengals fan remember ? at least they've been pretty go here lately...just gotta block out that 1991-2004 period. At least things are looking up for you guys...two good drafts in a row! Plus your two main rivals have to get old. Sometime, right? I'm not sure when the Cubs are ever going to turn it around... Saw that Callaspo granny right as I walked into my local gym. Couldn't believe my eyes. Nice to see Pujols returning to his old form lately as well. Goin for the four game sweep today.. invisible airwave
Only one game below 500 now with the 6 game winning streak. Not looking forward to Yanks and Rangers at home though especially since the Yanks are hot right now and even though the Angels did very well against Torre era Yanks, they haven't fared so well in the Girardi era. Yeah, you have to get at least 10 runs against Suppan, with the wind blowing out about 25 mph.

My dad and I were looking at the out-of-town scoreboard in Arlington and noticed 4-4 in the second. Then I saw the ESPN update on Weaver. Hopefully he's not out too long. The AL West could really be molding into shape (Texas and LA 1 and 2, Seattle and Oakland not anywhere close.. ) Brendan Ryan almost had an inside the parker last night, only to get thrown out at home plate.. Mariners have lost 5 straight..
Rick N. Backer
What seems increasingly apparent to me is that the AL East teams are going to spend the season beating the sh!t out of each other. Which means it's unlikely that the Sox are going to make the playoffs this year.

Principled Man
Brewers at Dodgers: Bottom of 2nd inning: The fans in L.A. are STILL pissed off that Ryan Braun got the MVP award last year - ahead of their hero, Matt Kemp. Braun just tossed a foul ball into the stands down the 3rd base line....and the fan threw it back out on the field! Crowd went WILD....
