M's win again! Let's go.

Also, Red Sox lose in 17.. lol!

What the f*ck are you laughing at? angry.gif

laugh.gif Just kidding. I've never seen Boston less interested in a Sox team, and I've followed them religiously since 1975 when I was 7. A-Gon gets fanned by a DH? WTF?!

Looking forward to Letterman's top 10 list tonight since he's announcing it. I remember when Scott Spiezio did the top 10 list just days after they won it all in 2002.

Sad news from Boston... rose.gif

http://espn.go.com/boston/mlb/story/_/id/7...-dies-car-crash

Fenway Park public address announcer Carl Beane was killed in a single-car crash Wednesday in Sturbridge, Mass., Worcester district attorney Joseph D. Early Jr. confirmed.

Carl Beane had been the PA announcer at Fenway Park since 2003.

The 59-year-old Beane was pronounced dead at Harrington Hospital in Southbridge a short time after crashing his 2004 Suzuki SUV early Wednesday afternoon. According to a press release from the Worcester district attorney, golfers from Hemlock Ridge Golf Course called police at 12:39 p.m. to alert them to the crash.

The report indicated Beane's SUV crossed double-solid lines on Holland Road in Sturbridge, Mass., left the road and struck a tree and a wall. There were no passengers in the car and no other vehicles involved. The crash remains under investigation.

"We are filled with sadness at this tragic news," Red Sox CEO Larry Lucchino said in a team release. "No one loved his role with the Red Sox more than Carl did his. He adored the opportunity to pay homage each game to Sherm Feller, and to contribute to the culture of Fenway Park, a place he loved passionately. His legion of friends with the Red Sox and the media will miss him enormously, and all of Red Sox Nation will remember his presence, his warmth, and his voice.

"On behalf of John Henry, Tom Werner, our partners, and our entire organization, we extend our deepest sympathies to his wife, Lorraine; his daughter, Nicole; and his granddaughters, Maddie and Gena."

Beane had been the voice of Fenway since 2003, calling out each batter's name before his turn at the plate at every home game. He famously started each game with, "Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, welcome to Fenway Park."

"My thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Carl Beane," Red Sox slugger David Ortiz tweeted a short time after news broke of Beane's death. "Stepping up to the plate at Fenway won't be the same."

Beane was born and raised in Agawam, Mass., and started his career in sports radio broadcasting in 1972. According to his website, Beane had worked at a number of news outlets, including WBZ Radio.

On behalf of Beane's family, the Red Sox said Wednesday evening that funeral arrangements have not been determined, but contributions in Beane's memory can be made to the Holland Congregational Church Building Fund (11 Sturbridge Road, Holland, MA 01521) and the American Diabetes Association.

The Red Sox will pay tribute to Beane on Thursday at Fenway before the 7:10 p.m. game against the Cleveland Indians.
