JohnnyBlaze
It's hard to believe, but I'd never watched Gladiator until today. Needless to say, I'm quite impressed!Joaquin Phoenix was the perfect bastard villain!
Segue Myles
Monster I really find Charlize Theron an annoying actress. Something about her in every role I have seen her in has left me cold, and she was shockingly miscast in Prometheus (why did that film need a bona fides beauty queen? It smacked of Hollywood whereas Alien felt real). Then I saw this. And I was blown away and actually on the verge of tears after witnessing perhaps the bravest acting I have ever seen. Was it even acting? I swear...I just saw a movie where Aileen Wuornos got to play herself. Devastated. She did despicable things, and I am torn about a film that makes me feel sorry for a serial killer, but I do believe in the worst of humanity there is a glimmer of light. But then again, this is a performance, not real life. But it sure did feel like reality. 10/10 Side note: Christina Ricci did brilliantly as well.

Thought it was funny. Never heard it played anywhere other than from my own tv. Not exactly sure why it's even on. Oh yeah, Japan. Nothing makes sense but it's there regardless. Left turn and there's a girl in full on Anime gear and pink hair. Anyway, back to our regularly scheduled programming...

Wow, two years of craziness...I couldn't handle more than a couple of months.Yup, I got it. Yeah, 2+ years. That buddy was the kind of guy who was beyond a healthy amount of horny (which is a lot coming from me...hehe) + he seemed to think that he always needed a gf. Good guy but yeah, that's a lengthy amount of torture to endure.
JohnnyBlaze
Ghost World.Quirky little dark comedy starring Thora Birch, Scarlet Johannson, and Steve Buscemi. Good overall but the mildly ambiguous ending left me not completely satisfied. Grade: B-

Thora Birch does well as a character not too different (though not at all a knockoff) from the one she portrayed in American Beauty.

JohnnyBlaze
I'm trying to plow my way through the remake of Total Recall. It's a chore, so far.Rotten Tomatoes rating has it at 30%. Sounds right. Bad remake of a movie that didn't need to be remade.
