Speaking of Fandango, my dad loves that movie.

Man, that makes it sound old as hell (with me in tow ph34r.gif ).

True dat. I was about 4 when that came out in 85. laugh.gif

Madman (1982)

Saw this slasher movie on IFC a few years ago. Bad movie but it a certain scene involving a car hood has one of the best (and unintentionally hilarious) kills in an early 80s slasher I've ever seen. MST3K material right there. laugh.gif

Fando y Lis
The Holy Mountain
El Topo
Santa Sangre

trink39.gif f*ckin Jodorowsky!!! The Holy Mountain is my favorite out of his films. Just a totally unique movie experience. Love the sets too.

there aren't that many people who've seen it (let alone who would admit it) biggrin.gif

I love it to death

Raise the Red Lantern (amazingly beautiful chinese film by the director of Hero)

The Full Monty (yeah, you've heard of it, but have you actually seen it? So funny, and also kind of sweet laugh.gif )

The Sure Thing (1985)

Underrated follow up to Spinal Tap from Meathead. John Cusack's monologue is hilarious.

"And why?...BECAUSE YOU WOULDN'T HELP ME IN ENGLISH! TOO BUSY TO HELP A DROWNING MAN!" laugh.gif

Great movie! Him, Daphne Zuniga, Anthony Edwards, Tim Robbins in a small part...

But I bet more people have seen it than you think.

Here's a terrible, terrible movie...

http://depaginas.es/images/api/6/1/e/4/758581463-The_Killings_at_Outpost_Zeta.jpg

The Killings at Outpost Zeta (1980)

Basically the same plot as Alien, only with D-list actors and bad special effects. Also featured Jackson Bostwick, the actor who played Captain Marvel on the first season of the 1970s live-action Saturday morning show Shazam!

A local station showed this movie one Saturday as part of their "Bad Movies" feature. Imagine! They knew it was bad and advertised it that way, as if to say "Watch this train wreck and be entertained!" laugh.gif (Which is the reason people still watch Plan 9 From Outer Space all these years later. Some movies are so bad, they're funny!)

I'm not sure this movie qualifies. I've seen it 10 times at least.

Okay, I've got a couple more but they are definitely not among my favorites. But they are very obscure -- for good reason....
