barney_rebel
Brought it home from Prince Edward Island in August 2006, when my wife was still pregnant with our son. Alexander Keith's Red Amber Ale. It wasn't available in Ontario at the time. The beer was flat, and I survived. Going out for a run now.
Invisible To Telescopic Eye
How dare you let a beer suffer in your fridge for 5 years....more than 5 days is a crime.
ILSnwdog
I remember when my Dad brought home some Coors when it wasn't available east of the Mississippi. He wouldn't drink it. He was saving it from some special occasion. Then after a year or two, he finally caved, and he let me have one. It was horrible, and I couldn't figure out what all the fuss over Coors was. Then I found out that beer is not like wine.

Mara
Last week I heated up a 2-year old microwave pizza at work (expired for a year), more out of curiosity than hunger. There are some things no amount of preservatives can keep from spoilage; microwave pizza is one of them. (No, I didn't eat it - are you kidding me?) go2wrk@95974
That beer looks dam* good,if ya ask me..even at 5 yrs. Does brew taste better, the longer it sits, like wine?? probably no. I still think Labotts is probably the best Canadian brew, that I've had.

Couple months ago I ate a pizza from 2008 from our freezer I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess that yours didn't come out of the oven the same way mine did - weird and spongy and producing lots of greenish smoke. If it did, and you still ate it . . .
1 of the 7
My boyfriend and I go around and around with the "you should buy lots of food and freeze it" vs. "no, you should only buy a week's worth of food at a time" argument. He's always trying to beat the expiration date on food...and failing, either by throwing it out or eating it all freezer-burned. I'm careful what I eat at his house! JohnnyBlaze
I don't think any beer has survived in my fridge more than 10 days. When I take them home from the shop they know their days are numbered.
