Lorraine
I saw them in 2008 in Rio, saw Sting in Oslo in 2012 and Andy a bunch of times.Rod, you sure do travel a lot. Thanks for resurrecting this thread! Edited October 8, 2014 by Lorraine
EagleMoon
I've always loved them. From the very beginning they were just cool. Kind of a reggae feel to their music. Very unique sounding. I voted for Synchronicity although I like all the albums.

Rod in Toronto
Here´s me interviewing Andy Summers for a local paper back in 1997: http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k210/RodrigoAltaf/andsmmers_zps6bd9036e.jpg I had absolutely NO CLUE what to ask him, and was so nervous!

Rick N. Backer
You know what's pretty cool? All of their albums are getting roughly the same number of votes. Try and think of another band where that would happen. And no, the "I'm a real Rush fan because I think Caress of Steel is their best album" whackos don't count. :)

RUSHHEAD666
The Police, based upon the best of that I have, were freakin amazin! Need more... Ok dude. It's plain and simple. BUY ALL FIVE ALBUMS!!! I'm in fear that "Ghost Of The Machine" might be the least favorite. Take a look at that album cover by the way. There is a backwards 666 on the album cover! RUSHHEAD666
The Police, based upon the best of that I have, were freakin amazin! Need more...I like this track from Ghost in the Machine. ETA: Embedded a link to the entire album. That's a curveball goose! Out of all the Police albums I never gave "Ghost" a chance. I listened to the album twice tonight by chance. "Darkness" is a slow grower. Actually every song isn't bad except for "Invisible Sun." so slow and boring. Perhaps MTV made me hate that song. It was alway on and it was always a downer. RUSHHEAD666
I can't believe "Ghost" has 13 votes. I'm shocked. It was always my least favorite.

Del_Duio
I voted for Outlandos which just beats out Synchronicity by a SMIDGE.Too much energy on that album. I think though it has some good songs on it, Ghosts in the Machine is their "worst". And by worst I mean it's still better than 90% of anything else ever put out.
Del_Duio
QUOTE (ColdFireYYZ @ Aug 2 2011, 12:53 AM) Reggatta. As overplayed as it its, Message In A Bottle is one of my favorite songs. This. Another of my favorites, On Any Other Day, shows the great sense of humor they originally had. In truth, I love all their albums. I wonder if his teenage daughter ever came back? :D
Del_Duio
I saw them in 2008 in Rio, saw Sting in Oslo in 2012 and Andy a bunch of times. I saw him at a small restaraunt bar years ago, the thing that really got me is how friggin' SHORT he is.Like he can't be more than 5' tops.

Get the Message in a Box set if you can, 4 CDs and tons of extras. Even has some really old stuff like Dead End Job. How this didn't make the Outlandos cut I'll never know. Here, check out this song it's killer:
g under p
For me it has to be Ghost In the Machine.....first I saw them was in small venue in VA. It was an epic show as I continued my love of 3 piece member bands.
