Jimi Hendrix
Pearl Jam (actually the only PJ album I enjoy)

unsure about the 5th... unsure.gif

A little rethinking done and I'm booting out Pearl Jam for Living Colour's Vivid and adding Jane's Addiction's Nothing Shocking

Both of those albums were monsters.

I listened to Vivid quite a bit back in the day.

That's one of my all time favorite songs. 1022.gif

And I don't think there is a bad song on that entire CD. Just an incredible effort. I can't believe this band didn't get more attention than they did.

An interesting side note. Rob Dickenson from Catherine Wheel is Bruce Dickenson's cousin.

Well it makes sense doesn't it? A catherine wheel and an iron maiden are both torture devices, LOL.

When I first heard "Black Metallic" on college radio, I thought the singer was black. He has a black singer's voice.

I remember another tune I liked on it called "A Flower to Hide".

If you like Ferment, pick up Chrome. Very similar sound and just as strong of an effort.

We need a ruling...Do EPs count? confused13.gif

If they do...then replace Undertow with Mental Jewelry from Live.

I remember when EP's were a popular thing to do for awhile, especially where college radio bands were concerned. Bands such as "Slowdive", My Bloody Valentine, and Cranes all have great EP's that came out before first full albums.

Here is my favorite EP from the period you just described:
