Catherine Wheel - Ferment
Bob Mould - Workbook
Sugar - Cooper Blue
Fugazi - 13 Songs
Tool - Undertow

That's no particular order.

Undertow was great but the Opiate EP came before that...which also kicked major ass!!

We need a ruling...Do EPs count? confused13.gif

If they do...then replace Undertow with Mental Jewelry from Live.

is Mental Jewelry an EP

no.gif But it wasn't their major label debut. Throwing Copper was their major label debut.

do they have to be major label debuts? Here's mine

Pearl Jam "Ten"

Rage Against The Machine

Led Zeppelin

King's X "Out Of The Silent Planet"

Stone Temple Pilots "Core"

honorable mention to Aerosmith and Black Sabbath.

The Clash
Fleet Foxes

How could I forget Queen on mine doh.gif

Well, Queen 2 would've made a killer debut wub.gif

Replace The Loser In The End with:

My Fairy King and you get absolute perfection.

No. There are a lot of bands that have never produced anything on a major label. Fugazi has their own label. Most of Bad Religion's early work was on an independent label. If memory serves correct, I believe the Offspring refuse to sign to a major label. IMO, the Smashing Pumpkin's best album is Gish, and that was on an independent label. Hell, 2.gif was first released on an independent label at first, right?

Yep. Or in Queen's case, replace Jesus with Nevermore or The Fairy Feller's Masterstroke. Why they didn't drop in Mad The Swine and leave out Jesus is beyond me.

I think that was a cassette. So, I'm not sure it counts as it wasn't really wide release.
