Good, bad, andrush
What is the best song from Selling England by the Pound? I want to know because I want to see what my opinion is next to you guys. The Cinema Show is magical to me, and Firth of Fifth is right behind, followed extremely closely by Dancing with the Moonlit Knight. Those three are platinumx2112, and the rest is solid gold. I might add that the inspiration came for this poll because I've been listening to this album like crazy lately.
Hatchetaxe&saw
A wonderful album. The melody of the opening track coupled with those wonderful, evocative lyrics almost swung it, but I plumped for Firth of Fifth in the end. Mr. Banks finest creation. Oracle
This one is hard for me. I'm going to say 'The Cinema Show' because that song has one of the best Gabriel-era instrumentals ever.
rushgoober
It's pretty ridiculous how many truly outstanding songs are on this album, but I gotta go with Dancing with the Moonlit Knight - one of my fave songs of all time.

Just f***ing godly songs: Hemispheres Permanent Waves Moving Pictures Pawn Hearts Close To The Edge Relayer The Yes Album Foxtrot And quite a few more...but albums like these are just insane...I sometimes wonder if I am really hearing such perfection. You actually are not. You're hallucinating badly, and 99% of what you perceive exists solely within your mind. We are merely a figment of your very overactive imagination. Hey my Irish brother from another mother!! I totally agree with you! Nothing touches this Banks masterpiece. "Cinema Show" would be second but "Fifth" is untouchable. Hope all is well. ghostworks
Phil and Mike were never in better form than on Epping they absolutely SHRED that groove- it's busy, funky and addictive as hell my favorite from SEBTP changes every now and then, but Epping gets the vote for the rhythm section alone tonight

Mystic Slipperman
Wha? You tryin' to make my head explode? They don't call me Mystic Slipperman for nothing... Moonlit Knight and Firth are waaay up there, but Cinema Show gets my vote. The acoustic work on this during the first half, and the amazing instrumental section in the second half push it over the edge.
