*Limelight*
Wanting to play where he feels the most comfortable. No-one can blame him for that. Well, maybe some people
rushgoober
I don't care what team he plays for as long as it's not the Yankees. I'm THRILLED they didn't get him - WOOHOO!

ReflectedLight
good for him. he felt most comfortable with the phillies and turned down the extra bucks and headaches of ny. didn't a yankee fan spit on his wife? i wonder if that had something to do with his decision. metaldad
Well it sucks to be a Met fan but good for him. Someone that Finally does not care about the Money. He is getting like 50 mill less to play where he wants to. I can see Brian Ca$hman crying in his soup

I can see Brian Ca$hman crying in his soup i didn't look at it from the mets standpoint but yea they had very little chance before, and now they have no chance. lee is still getting a nice big contract but i like him already for going with where he wanted to play over following the pot of gold. f*ck the yankees. theredtamasrule
A surprise no doubt! Take that Yanks, yer basterds. That Philly pitching lineup is going to be brutal.
ReflectedLight
let this be a lesson for the mets. pitching wins championships. now trade the team away and get some good young pitching. beltran, reyes, and that knucklehead k-rod. trade them all and get pitching. you can always sign bats later on. Boyd
Apparently his wife had some say in his decision because she was harassed by the New York fans when he pitched there with the Rangers. They also spit into the Texas Rangers' family section and threw bottles into their bullpen. Yankee fans have been told to go phuck themselves since the dawn of baseball. Now they've actually done it! How sweet it is.
