  1. Let's hope it's permanent. According to one of the DJs, it may not be.
  2. Ryan Murphy shared an update on Keep Rush Radio on SiriusXM for good! Petition Update One Little Victory! SiriusXM has announced that starting tomorrow, January 23, a Rush channel will debut on channel 717. Subscribers of the Select package and All Access package will have this channel available. Thanks all!
  3. QUOTE (-D-RocK- @ Jun 20 2012, 01:57 PM) Apparently they've already sold 60 million copies in China. What a bunch of slackers.
  4. The Wreckers .... can't get enough of that hook!
  5. 7...for now. But I'm sure it'll go up a notch or two once I digest everything there is to offer. And that'll take a bit of time.

    adrenaline rush

Will Rhymes fainted on the field after being drilled in the arm with a ball. The team chalked up to an "adrenaline rush." Coincidentally, you can hear some sort of re-mixed rap version of Tom Sawyer playing over the PA system as he begins to pass out. Link
  7. The folder has all the songs in it but requires a password to open them with a media player.
  8. Oooooh, 8 track! Now we're talking.

    Headlong Flight

QUOTE (treeduck @ Mar 29 2012, 02:13 PM) one of which doesn't even like keyboards... I think he likes keyboards ...as long as they don't get in his way.
  10. I wonder what Alex's 3 choices would be.
  11. Ok, just finished listening and that arpeggio synth sprinkled throughout the song is indeed a bit much. But what else do you expect from 80's rock. The rest of the song, however, is quite catchy. Alex's guitar work is especially slick on this track. And the solo is killer! It's like a sonic storm of electrical currents scorching the air. Wow, I am really stoned right now.
  12. QUOTE (softfilter @ Jun 6 2011, 12:21 AM) Paul Shaffer i read ( TRF or Cleveland.com ) is on the HOF selection committee and not a fan of Rush. There were a number of The Late Show staff who weren't exactly fans of Rush...or even knew who Rush was.
  13. QUOTE (LeaveMyThingAlone @ May 24 2011, 12:32 AM) And Alex is right, they aren't real. Also, they are the devil to rock music. Wow. In one fell swoop of ignorance you've completely dismissed some of the best ROCK songs of all time. Not to mention some of the best musicians and bands in ROCK. The next time you have a thought...just let it go.
  14. QUOTE (presto123 @ Apr 10 2011, 02:22 AM) You know what I mean. There was just so much more mystique and mystery about the band before. I like when you could find very little info on the band. It made them larger than life. I think you would look forward to concerts more when you don't know every little detail. Plus Rush's catalog would still be selling strong because everybody couldn't get it for free. Seems like they would have come up with something by now that you can't copy. I don't think you appreciate new releases as much when you don't have to pay for them.(I have bought every Rush release) I would be willing to sacrifice my computer and all the good things about the internet if it could be like it was in the old days. Maybe I'm being nostalgic. You youngsters have no idea what I'm talking about:) I know exactly what you mean. I often think back to the days when I'd be lucky enough to catch wind of some Rush news on the radio or in a magazine article. They were exciting moments for me. And then there were those moments that just blew me away like tuning into the '93 All Star Game and being completely blind-sided by the announcer introducing Geddy Lee. Now we're bombarded with Rush. Not that there's anything wrong with that. Isn't that what we wanted anyway way back when? But still, I do miss those days. Getting up early on the day of a new Rush album's release. Making your way to the store, walking with quick strides to the R section and laying eyes on the new artwork for the very first time. Now that was priceless. But the ride back to the house sucked!
  15. QUOTE (Cobra611 @ Apr 6 2011, 11:44 PM) Sitting here watching The Late Show with David Letterman and he just included Rush in one of his opening monologue jokes. He was actually making fun of the NY Knicks, as they made the playoffs for the first time in 7 years. They showed a mock commercial saying that because no one expected the Knicks to be in the playoffs, they booked Rush to play MSG that week...and showed a few second clip of them from a Snakes & Arrows show...it was pretty funny!!! I just watched the Wednesday night monologue on CBS.com and they must have edited the Rush mention out.

    RushTour Forum is gone!

QUOTE (1-0-0-1-0-0-1 @ Mar 31 2011, 01:13 PM) I can't see ever doing that. Facebook likes having its arrogant nose in everything -- they like you to think you can't survive life on the interwebz without it. This community has done okay so far without being umbilically joined to Facebook, and I can't think of a good reason to change that. Facebook seems like a love it/hate it kind of thing. I pretty much hate it on principle -- I think it's an incredibly intrusive website. I'm glad you see Facebook for what it truly is. It's a refreshing opinion, especially when most webmasters are wiring it into their sites as if it was required by law.

QUOTE (1-0-0-1-0-0-1 @ Mar 30 2011, 11:39 AM) Facebook robbed us of some good members too. I am really starting to dislike the Face! Is that why you haven't integrated Facebook with TRF? Not that I'm complaining, of course.
  18. QUOTE (In A Tidewater Surge @ Mar 3 2011, 02:58 PM) boyd, since you have the hamster at least you don't have to buy dinner Time to break out the Frank's Red Hot.
  19. A pipe exploded under my sink. So I replaced it. Apparently the old pipe behind it didn't like the new pipe - and exploded. WTF. But that's nothing..... I bought a puppy from the other day and they shipped me a dead Hamster. When I called them they said the battery just needed to be replaced. They sent me a 9v which did nothing for the Hamster. I then put it in a smoke detector and it didn't work. So after $250, I have a non working smoke detector and one gnarly shipping box.
