Thanks everyone. She has wanted to be a doctor since she was a little girl. Pretty amazing. I am still trying to comprehend it!

After a few days of cold and rain, I woke up to a beautiful sunny morning.

So that's where it's gone!

Reportedly, we could wake up to snow tomorrow.

Meeting Laurabw briefly before tonight's Styx show and chatting for a bit during intermission.

Great to put a friendly face with a name.

Just returned from the orthopedic surgeon...

...no further surgeries needed!

Very happy...

...it's been a long painful road back.

Looks like I spoke too soon, lol!

Sitting outside with all of the birds. We have so many this year - more robins than ever, plenty of quail, sparrows, morning doves, fresh little blackbirds, and others I do not know their names. Squirrels too.

Nature is beautiful. :)

I had a wonderful, strictly platonic visit to upstate NY last week

The Lad has been working hard at learning a pretty challenging bit of syncopated rhythm for his advanced band audition. Pleased to say that he made it in!

He's a percussionist, like his Old Man.

Met up with a friend I haven’t seen in five years, who had moved across the country. It was a wonderful three hour catchup over coffee!

It’s been really fun to re-establish many social ties recently, and create new ones.

Echo In The Canyon finally expands to my local Laemmle in Claremont where I grew up. I don’t have to waste more public transportation money going to Pasadena or Hollywood to see this.

Speaking of movies, I’m doing my first ever viewing of those recent Thursday night previews with Toy Story 4 since it’s an earlier showing than most.

Yesterday our AC unit blew up, and it's in the mid 90's here. This morning we call the retailer that sold us this unit for a replacement. They had them, and scheduled us for tomorrow to replace.

BUT, while I'm driving around shopping, Karen calls, saying they're able to get us in, will be there in 20 minutes-and I'm 15 from the house. I speed home and start moving stuff out of the way. Installers arrive 5 minutes later, badda bing badda boom, there in and out in twenty minutes. New unit is cranking the chill out, everything's COOL! :dweez: :notworthy:
