ColdFireYYZ
QUOTE (teababe27 @ Sep 27 2010, 09:00 PM) Nickelback's old stuff is not that bad. I have a few friends who are really into Nickelback...but I just can't listen to them...the singer sounds way too forced, IMO.
quickfree
Metallica's doing a 30th anniversary tour in 2011 possibly as hinted at by Hetfield. M30 2011 Soundgarden's Chris Cornell has lost voice and it showed playing some secret show in LA on Monday night.

Xanadu93
QUOTE (Ted Barchetta @ Oct 1 2010, 12:06 AM) Vampire Weekend's debut album is flawless... Have you heard their new record, Contra? I haven't heard the debut so I don't know about comparing the two records, but the new one is a pretty damn good record IMO.
Ted Barchetta
QUOTE (Xanadu93 @ Oct 1 2010, 02:52 PM) QUOTE (Ted Barchetta @ Oct 1 2010, 12:06 AM) Vampire Weekend's debut album is flawless... Have you heard their new record, Contra? I haven't heard the debut so I don't know about comparing the two records, but the new one is a pretty damn good record IMO. I've heard it; It's pretty good. It's just not as consistent as the debut. Still good though. As for my random music thought: Did every Prog Rock front-man play the flute? It seems a rather common occurrence in the genre. danielmclark
Peter Gabriel's first solo album is the most schizo album I've yet heard. I've just checked it out for the first time... half the album is completely unlistenable. The other half is brilliance incarnate. Awesome: Solsbury Hill, Humdrum, Slowburn, Here Comes the Flood Horrible: Moribund, Modern Love, Excuse Me, Waiting for the Big One, Down the Dolce Vita Ugh. No wonder he nearly completely ignores it when doing concerts and greatest hits packages.
