  1. When did TRF become a classified? Threads like this are a waste of space on forums like these.
  2. In my opinion the Wal sounded good for the stuff they were doing at time, however after listening to this version of Show Don't Tell from the Presto tour https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J41AXq3-Mc0 and than listening to this version from the Counterparts tour it really shows how much weaker sounding the Wal is compared to the Fender imo of course.
  3. So I was reading some stuff over on a bass related website and the discussion of Geddy using his famous 72 Jazz bass on the Moving Pictures tour came up. I originally thought he didn't play the jazz bass as is the case in the Exit Stage Left dvd. A quick google image search shows that he did indeed use the bass in at least a few of the shows on that tour. Anyways, my question is does anybody know what song(s) he used the jazz bass on? Thanks.
  4. I was only 3 at the time but my father was at both Toronto shows and also at the opening night show in Albany,NY. He said the first leg of the tour had a better setlist. The only change I know of was Dreamline being replaced by Limelight.
  5. Of course by hinting at this possibly being the last tour it will boost ticket sales. To say that Rush isn't touring because of the money is plain ignorant. Sure Alex and Geddy enjoy playing live still, and maybe to some extent Neil too, buut the fact is if they weren't still packing arenas they wouldn't still be touring.
  6. I don't think that is true. Alex's guitar tech Scott Appleton also works for Phil Collen when Def Leppard tours.
  7. Listening to live bootlegs from 1976-1979 makes me wish I was alive back then to see them live at full power.
  8. My father has been a Rush fan since 1976, seeing them almost every tour since the 2112 tour. He used to play them when I was kid but I didn't really get into music until I was about 12. He had Fly By Night playing in the car one day and I was hooked since. That was summer 2006 and the next summer was my first time seeing them live. I was a big Rush fan before seeing that concert but came out just blown away by them.
  9. Cool to see some pics of Le Studio. Someone should buy it and restore it.
  10. How did you like KISS? They were good! I thought the set list could have been a little better but for a 75 minute set it wasn't bad. Tommy Thayer is a much better guitarist than I thought,
  11. I saw Van Halen open for Black Sabbath. I think it was '78. Van Halen blew them off the stage. My father saw that tour, and said the same exact thing!
