I have no rational idea why ("second team-itis"?) but I assumed because you're an Islanders fan, that you'd also root for the Mets and the Jets . . .

I do root for the Mets (as a kid we watched all NY teams) but tend to slightly favor the Yankees. I'm not much of a Jets fan -- I don't hate them but I'm definitely a Giants fan. Not really into the NBA but will casually pull for the Knicks or Nets if they're making noise in the playoffs. The WNBA was more intriguing to me this year. It was nice to see the NY Liberty finally win a title but the officiating is tainting it a bit.

 

I never got the supposed Isles-Mets-Jets and Rangers-Yankees-Giants fan groupings. I know lots of people who don't align with those.

Maybe it's a sample size issue; we need to find out if it's facial hair generally, or just terrible "Cuban pimp" mustaches that cause the problem.

He is pitching injured. He said it was worth missing a year for the opportunity to win a ring. He won’t be used again.  It’s going to be tough enough to win the series with Judge stuck in his own head. But Boone’s incompetence might be the clincher.
