The Royals have picked the wrong time of year for a six-game losing streak . . .

Still, a wild card spot would be satisfying given their recent past. Hopefully it's not contagious (Smelly Sox)

Cubs lost today but they're getting dangerously close to a wild card for my liking.

Man, the NL Central has been a smoldering tire fire for most of the year; it would be kind of funny if the third wild card team bubbled up out of that mediocrity.

7th inning, 0-0 score

Giants reliever Camilo Doval walks Willy Adames, moves him to 2nd, to 3rd, and then Home via three wild pitches.   😲😲😲

Rockies, give me something this weekend, even though you act like the hockey version of yourselves.

Tell me again why you hate the Chicago teams? Just trying to clear the deck for the Blackhawks?

The Hawks are treated like Cinderella in Chicago, especially by the media Evil Sisters. And since they want all the other Chicago teams to succeed, excluding the Fire of course, I make a point to root for all the opposing teams.

Brewers win the NL Central again. I'm sure somebody is feeling a bit smug about that!

That Ohtani guy is killing it. Today all he did was go 6-for-6 with 3 HRs, 2 doubles, a single, 10 RBIs, 4 runs scored, and 2 stolen bases. He became the first player in MLB history to reach the 50/50 (and now 51/51 HRs and stolen bases in a season) club. Looks like the Dodgers are getting their money out of him.

No perfect score, though.  He got thrown out at 3rd base.
