Principled Man Posted April 27, 2023 Posted April 27, 2023 I grew up in the Cincinnati area, and I watched Springer become a very respected news anchor as well as the respected Mayor of Cincinnati. He was literally the "Coolest Man in Town". Jerry Springer sold his soul for fame and fortune. He wasn't the first, nor is he the last to do so. He showed us all how easy it is to be seduced into the shady world of vulgar entertainment. 3
invisible airwave Posted April 27, 2023 Posted April 27, 2023 It’s been… First Weird Al album I owned. 1

blackhawkrush Posted April 28, 2023 Posted April 28, 2023 My wife was distraught upon hearing the news. I told her he had a show where people admitted they ate their ear wax. She was unmoved. Strange woman. 2

BigMontanaSKY Posted May 1, 2023 Posted May 1, 2023 I try to be ladylike in my life....but Got damn I enjoyed his show back in the day. I had a lot of stress in my life when it was a hit so it was a way to blow off steam if I had time to watch TV, like, "Life sucks right now, but HOLY CRAP did that just happen????? LOL"
J2112YYZ Posted May 1, 2023 Posted May 1, 2023 My dad's friend was on this show once. He was hired to be a guest on it and follow the script.
treeduck Posted May 4, 2023 Posted May 4, 2023 He'll live forever in the minds of the trailer park cognoscenti.
