Kesha - Gag Order

This was my number 3 aoty last year when I made my list, but with how my life has gone since it released last March, and having not heard it since probably last summer or early fall at this point, it hits in a whole new way for me today.  Paramore won my list initially, but in the long run I may wind up rating Gag Order over This Is Why.

Red Hot Chili Peppers - By The Way

still beautiful

Blink-182 - One More Time

better songwriting than I gave it credit for last year… production still sucks tho

Liz Phair - Liz Phair

First time listen, I did have to skip one track because I was working and it was ummm, distracting, lol. I got the gist of it. This is just a great collection of songs. I love Exile In Guyville, but that record’s biggest weakness for me was always how kinda undercooked parts of it felt. It was masterful in places and simply too raw to call that in others. She’s still cutting deep lyrically and melodically here, but now more consistently across the whole album.

Nightwish- Century Child

This albums turned 20 today! Of course I still love this album, and I love the band as it was until recently.

I get shivers listening to this.

They also announced a new album today, coming out in September. I'm a bit down about I feel not an ounce of excitement.
