Cheap Trick - In Another World

Adele - 30

Lil Nas X - Montero

Ed Sheeran - =

Banco Del Mutuo Soccorso - Darwin!

Weezer - OK Human

Coldplay - Music Of The Spheres

Wire - 154

Mostly a lot of listening to construct my year end list. The new Tyler, The Creator gets a "great," and the new Ed Sheeran gets a big "meh."

Iron Maiden- Brave New World (9/10)

Something I can't believe I never appreciated before: this entire album feels like battle chants. The choruses are so great I love shouting along to them!

Dream Of Mirrors stood out in particular as a truly magnificent, underappreciated song.

Brave New World is an example of why I never give up on albums.

Styx- Cyclorama (8/10)

Enjoyable album, I think it's quietly one of their most fun releases. But now I have the CD at long last, what is up with all the carrots in the artwork?

Sirenia- The Enigma Of Life (7/10)

Far from perfect, I have a real soft spot for this album, and this band in general. It's easy listening symphonic metal, but there are moments of this album that are just truly beautiful.

Dire Straits- Love Over Gold (9/10)

Beautiful album. It's hard to believe I ever disliked Dire Straits!

The Alan Parsons Project- Eye In The Sky (10/10)

My absolute favourite "discovery" this year. I was already familiar with some of this bands music, but it took a thread on this forum to have me digging deeper. Exquisite music, one of the greatest bands of all time. I don't even think that's a slight exaggeration. This is a perfect album, but it's not even my favourite from this band.

Epica- Omega (9/10)

Wow! I was less than impressed when this first came out. Today I revisited it and it's momentous! Another truly epic album from a band who I absolutely love to death.

Okay so this one shot right up the higher reaches of this year's top ten!
