Data is just data. Until it has meaning. Write the number 3 on an index card. That's data. Just some random number. Now think to yourself "That's the number of cars parked on my block this morning". With that context, that random data just became information. Which is my point. The android wasn't random and useless (Like Pulaski). He had context and a purpose, and he was informative and helpful.
