Is Milbury next to go, after his comment about players not being distracted by women while in the bubble?

Nah, he didn't say bitches or hoe...

I didn't know you had to.

Ok, you had your laugh but cool it. Milbury is a dinosaur and he can't help himself, I didn't hear the comment since I missed some Eastern games. Not all hockey fans are dunderheads and some are women. Things have been going so well with the games, let's take out our frustration on the usual suspects...players

I would entertain the idea of blowing up this Hawks team. That includes everyone, even Kane and Toews. With their $21 million, I'd rather have six guys that will hustle and play as a unit, than watching two superstars and their individual efforts that no longer win championships. Since we're talking about rebuilding, a need for an experienced coach is obvious, therefore Colliton must also leave. I'm willing to give Marc Crawford a chance, if there's no better option. Knights did not play well last night and still won. That should tell us how far away we are from challenging for a Cup. It's been a great ride, thanks for the Dynasty, but it's time to say goodbye.

I agree about Colliton, that was a bad choice to go from an experienced coach to a complete rookie. He's younger than some players, has never impressed me. Gets a line that works and then screws around with it.

As for blowing up the team, big no for me. Yes they have a while before they are contenders again but our problem is Bowman doing lousy trades. He needs to go. I like Kane and Toews, Crawford is a great goalie and Duncan Keith may be a bit long in the tooth but he is still battling hard. There are bunch of these kids that are worth hanging on to.

That was a wild game, Crawford was Superman. I doubt we win the series but glad not to have been swept. Now if Calgary and Washington can get eliminated that would be nice. :D

Crawford is 35, Keith is 37. They're not going to be part of a Hawks "rebirth." Same goes for Seabrook. We won't be able to get rid of everyone, but we can't make the same mistake the Canucks made when they held on to the Sedin twins, instead of trying to get some quality for them while they could. As a result, they've been struggling to get to respectability for quite a few years now. The reason Bowman had to trade Schmaltz, Hinostroza, the Hayes brothers, Nordstrom, Leddy and others was because Quinneville couldn't cultivate these young players. However, I will agree the Hjalmarsson trade was ridiculous. Bottom line, we need a coach with a vision and players that will break away from this chaotic style Hawks are bringing to the table. It's embarrassing to watch.

You really think Quinneville was the problem? Bowman has gotten rid of anyone who has disagreed with him even the GM. I think he is the problem. They have a guy on as an assistant who has been on a Stanley Cup winning team, Crawford, he'd be better than Colliton. The day he gets rid of Kane then he may lose me, he's the reason so many became Blackhawks fans and their attendance will tank. As far as all those trades let's not forget Panarin. Sure money was an issue but it seems every time they seem to be getting somewhere, finding lines that work well together he breaks them up. Seabrook isn't coming back, I don't think he is recovering as well as expected. Yeah, I am just spouting off but I think Bowman is a snake and he is dragging the team down with his ego.

Haven't you wondered why we didn't have a game seven yet? :hug2:  :hug2:

Avs are looking really good and that Stars game last night was wild. Will be a good series. Hope the Blues wake up or they are going to be out, still they didn't tank as badly as Calgary . But I got my wish, Caps and Calgary are gone. Seems kinda strange to only have two games tonight. :hockeygoon: Edited by Rhyta

We agree on Colliton, and I would replace Bowman with Tallon. It's not happening, though. Suckage time for quite a while, I'm afraid.

So the Blues fall at the first hurdle. Not ideal, obviously, but the NHL is tough. Oh, man, that second period was just brutal to watch, though. I'm a little worried about Binnie's psyche going forward; he needs to get the taste of that out of his mouth as soon as he can.

I'm going to choose to believe that injuries were the deciding factor.

Now we've got to see what happens with Pietrangelo, and Berube has some other decisions to make, too.

You can't rationalize that injuries were the deciding factor. They're a part of the game. I wouldn't dare say that injuries cost the Bruins the Cup last year. You play with what you got.

Well, my other option is accepting they weren't good enough or didn't play hard enough, and that's obviously right out . . .

That's because Rask cost the Bruins the Cup last year.

The "Perfection Line" didn't help either...

From what I remember, you had some top defensemen injured during the final against the Blues. Youngsters had to fill in those spots. Bad news when you're so close to winning it all.

Well that wasn't the game I was expecting, Stars were revved up after beating Calgary and took it to the Avs. Not sure why they let them get an early lead so fast but never seemed to be able to catch up. Then Johnson going off a couple of times with leg problems didn't help. Grubauer really messed up his leg, that looked painful. This looked a lot like the stadium series this year between these two teams, Dallas spoiled the Avs party at the Air Force Academy. Hope this is a one time fluke but now that the Stars have Pavelski and Perry, this might be the jump they needed. Monday we will see. Now will Vancouver continue their streak or will Vegas reign them in? :hockey:

At least the Knights are doing it to somebody else, for a change. They are in a fortunate situation because I doubt they would've been able to pressure teams all over the ice night after night, if they had to play a full regular season followed by the playoffs. Las Vegas has to considered the favorites to win the Cup.

I remember hoping the same thing about the Blues! :hockeygoon:

The thing about the Knights is that they don't really have a superstar on the team they can look to winning games for them. They have to rely on their team discipline and swarming style, something they'd have a tough time accomplishing after an 82 game season. In some respect, the virus was a godsend for them.

f***in Bruins are playing scared. Pastrnak is SUCH a moron. They really need to look at trading him after the season. He's too soft to win with.

There's another 88 who is super-soft and he has three rings. Anyway, Marchand makes up for it big-time.
