vaportrailer
He admitted today that the accusations are true. Good on him for owning up to his heinous behavior, but he still failed to say one word: Sorry. And he waited until he had no practical choice in the matter. What a jackoff. I see what you did there. :D
Fordgalaxy
Let's see how Hollywood handles the outspoken gay that is Takei.
Lorraine
That anyone is surprised about this shocks me. There's a lot worse than this pervert piece of shit in hollywood. And D.C. But hollywood wins the prize. It's gotten a lot worse. Pedophiles all over the place and plenty of money to cover their disgusting perversions and the consequences of their actions.
Lorraine
Not sure if anyone has mentioned Kevin Spacey yet, but he may as well kiss his career good-bye. Maybe Meryl Street will give him a standing ovation at this year's oscars event.
Principled Man
But hollywood wins the prize. It's gotten a lot worse. We really don't know if it's worse today than in the past. It could very well be that it was worse in the past. We'll never know for sure. In the past, the Code of Silence was very strong in Hollywood, in Washington, D.C. and even in our local towns. Sexual assault victims were terrified of speaking out, as the consequences were too great. In today's world, victims have a lot more opportunity to speak up and have justice be done.

I don't think justice will be done because the system and those who run it are pretty much compromised. They might make an example out of one person - one scapegoat - to keep everyone thinking that they are on the job and on the ball, but that's it. A lot of these men have billions of dollars. That buys off a lot of people. It's not easy to break ranks. Most don't have the courage to do it. A lot is at stake - their career, their livelihood, their families. Mick And now he will have to remove those kind of jokes from his routine. At least he owned up to it all. His career will be halted for a year or two and people will forgive him and forget about it. What he did was uncomfortable and perverted but it's hardly the worst thing he could have done. It's nowhere near the same level as being accused or molestation or rape. I'm not saying there was nothing wrong with what he did but it's a forgivable act.

Cause i wasn't there. i do not know the real circumstances here. at least.......as far as we know.....he didn't rape anyone. this won't be as damaging. Again I MUST repeat....i am NOT condoning his actions. Mick

It will all depend on the ability of people to be rational - and above all, fair - when it comes to these recent incidents. I think a lot of people will come to forgive him, but definitely not everyone will.
Fordgalaxy
To me, there's a huge difference between choking your chicken in front of people who don't want you to, and actually sexually assaulting someone. Huge.

Xanadoood
Is Hollywood finished? Is the entertainment industry in serious decline? It doesn't help. Especially with a majority of Hollywood being on the left politically and talking shit about Trumps indiscretions. They need to go away for a while. The excuse seems to be that the celebrity ones are being shamed and disowned so it's ok.

What we have here is a great opportunity for everyone to stop pointing fingers and start looking at themselves in the mirror. Sexual addiction, dysfunction, and misconduct is everywhere. No one is above it, and no one is immune from it. We're all capable of it.

Lucas
Prior to this story, I had never even heard of Louis CK .. So I just did some reading, and found this: He is known for his use of observational, self-deprecating, dark, and vulgar humor .... C.K. appeared several times on Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist,[112] and voiced The Horrifyingly Sweaty One-Armed Monstrosity in two episodes of Gravity Falls.[113] In 2017, he guest starred as himself in the animated sitcom Family Guy.[114] C.K. was a frequent guest on The Opie & Anthony Show radio show, which also featured his Lucky Louie co-star Jim Norton. C.K. was also a part of Opie and Anthony's Traveling Virus Comedy Tour with other comedians in 2007. In 2007, he hosted a three-hour phone-in show on the service at the request of Opie & Anthony, during which he advised callers on their relationship troubles. During an interview with Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld on the show, C.K. repeatedly asked Rumsfeld whether he is in fact a reptilian space alien who "eats Mexican babies".[116] Rumsfeld declined to comment and the video has since gone viral I could be wrong, but really don't think CK's fanbase is going to be put off by these accusations .. In fact, considering the timing of this story and CK's quick admission, I have to wonder if it was his own PR machine that put it out there .. So the premier was cancelled, but does anyone think the movie is going to vanish ?? ... This will only generate more interest ..

Huge. There's a difference? Yes, there is. The first act is that of a narcissistic, vulgar jackass. The second act is much worse. Let's not forget that sexual misconduct and assault are legally defined in degrees of severity for a good reason. Offenders are not all the same.
