bluefox4000
I have to go Kansas. Cause i just can't ignore that 70's run. just perfect. Though i love Foreigner, Mick
Lorraine
I like the three of them, but Foreigner was my mainstay in the early eighties.
ReRushed
I voted for Foreigner. I am always surprised by how many Foreigner songs I enjoy. Depending on my mood, Kansas would probably win on another day. As for Boston, the debut album is probably the most overplayed album in U.S. radio history. You simply can't get away from it. Enough already! And Boston wrote that awful song "Amanda".
rocket ignites
I'll say Boston. I'd need to listen to more Kansas to truly judge. I've just never been able to get into Foreigner.
Lorraine
I'll go run and hide after I post this, but am I the only one who thinks they all sound the same? I especially get Foreigner and Kansas confused sometimes. :outtahere: Edited June 15, 2017 by Lorraine

Foreigner and Boston REALLY sound similar to me. at least Kansas had the violin. lol. Mick

Segue Myles
I don't think Foreigner sound like Kansas at all. But Lorraine, I do find myself confusing Styx and Kansas in my head often!!!
Segue Myles
I agree about Boston and Foreigner. Actually...nearly every AOR band sounds the same to me...i made a playlist two years ago and I was surprised when I played it that it was hard to differentiate one band from the other. Eighties Kansas actually sounds a lot like Foreigner.

I loved to hate all three of these bands(also The Eagles) back in the day but they were unavoidable. Now I enjoy the fact that I know their tunes so well... HemiBeers
This must be 'band from the 70s' vs Kansas poll week. Kansas yet again. Boston and Foreigner are just AOR filler. Now Kansas vs ELP would be an interesting poll.

Segue Myles
What makes Kansas better than Foreigner? I'd say they are more challenging. Have you heard their earliest work? The first five albums are more akin to Genesis or early Rush than, say, Boston or Foreigner.

LakesideShark
This is a hard decision. I do enjoy all three, but I went with Foreigner since I enjoy listening to them the most out of the choices. Also, If a song of theirs comes on the radio, I'll sing along a lot faster to them as opposed to the others.

bluefox4000
What makes Kansas better than Foreigner? Foreigner are more straight forward in song structure to the point they wear really really fast for me. So i find myself unable to do a Foreigner marathon because of that .
