thirteen
Happy Birthday to a great hard rock album, which just happens to contain some of Rush's best riffs. Ever. Rutsey Working Man drumming > Peart Working man drumming.

Rutsey Working Man drumming > Peart Working man drumming. Don't know Alex seemed to be the band leader and all he said that "John was starting to lose interest" so they auditioned other drummers. whether that was him and Alex falling out I really don't know

Well, a combination of both of those things is why he had to leave. Absolutely, but his health was the deciding factor. He wasn't taking the best care of himself and they didn't think he could handle the touring.
ytserush
The recorded beginning of a band that (save for a handful of songs) has never let me down.

Rutsey Working Man drumming > Peart Working man drumming. As much as I loved the ATWAS version as a teen, ultimately it's a better song when the drums are played straight. Eel Yddeg
Sorry for the late response, but happy b-day! This is a very underrated album, it's 40 minutes of top-notch, balls-to-the wall rock and roll. Working Man, Before and After, Here Again, What You're Doing, Finding My Way, even Take A Friend, they're all great.

Fridge
Fantastic album, by NO MEANS their worst. it's a quality slice of cock rock, with the standout track being Here Again, a bluesy, moody masterpiece with an outstandingly emotive solo, and some of Geddys finest vocal work.
