  5. And I had three tacos from TB just last week. It had been a few years since I'd ordered from them & I was having a weird craving. My colon tried to reject me.

  13. Darn - I had a chance to see them this summer but due to family concerns (and car issues) was not able to. Every time I saw them in concert they were excellent. I never saw them in their prime - just saw them in the 1990's, 2000's and likely early 2010's. But they were still excellent every time I saw them.. Interesting story - my boss was a limo driver when he was in college and right after he got out (so it would have been in the 1980's). One of the many bands he got to drive was REO Speedwagon. Told me that Kevin Cronin was supper nice and the band (overall) was the nicest band he ever drove. Of course my boss also got invited to the backstage party by the band where me met his future (and current) wife so that might have something to do with his thinking. But he is very clear - that group, back in the 1980's when they were big, was a really nice bunch of guys and Cronin stood out for being supper nice. Pitty its the end of the road but I am glad I got to see them a number of times.

  14. People still believing that cats are being eaten despite people admitting they made up the story and others admitting they lied about it.

  15. But TBH - getting Lerxst's view of the history would be very interesting. I'd pay for that in a heartbeat. Just like the Geddybook.

  16. Had the day off so I went to the east side of the Cascades for a sunny hike (overcast on the west side) with the hope of seeing some reptiles and/or birds. Ended up seeing a Wren of some variety and one small lizard. Was looking for rattlesnakes but there were none to be found. Had a tasty milkshake on the way home.

  18. Bush / Jerry Cantrell / Candlebox / Bones UK Saturday Sept 14, 2024 Talking Stick Resort Amphitheater - Phoenix, AZ Disclaimer: this concert was my wife's idea for "date night", so.... Bush: I have never been a fan of Bush. With that said, they blew me away. Absolutely killer rock show. They were the headliner so I expected something decent, but they were really impressive. Great set, sounded good, looked good, crowd loved it. Interesting side-note: during the last intermission (right before Bush) the "house music" was the loudest between-set music I've ever heard. Not just a little louder than most, but way louder. I'd say a solid 20db louder than any concert I've ever been to (over 750). It was "as loud" as the Opening band (Bones UK). Insane! Jerry Cantrell: The Alice in Chains star killer it. Great set, really nice performances, sounded good, looked good. The "aux" vocalist is insanely good. The vocals during their set were fantastic. Jerry sang all of his songs (most), and the other guy sang the rest. I saw Alice In Chains 3 times back in the day, so I'm a fan. Jerry did not disappoint. Candlebox: I've always loved them, but haven't seen them since they opened for Rush on the Counterparts Tour. They were amazing. That lead singer is an incredible vocalist. Total rock star. Great set, great show. They really sounded good...maybe the best of all the bands. Crowd was the loudest for these guys. They killed it! Bones UK: Never heard of them before. All chick band, 3 piece. They were awesome. Great energy, cool songs, solid performances. Perfect opener for this tour. Overall this was a better than expected concert. I enjoyed it way more than I thought I would. Totally worth it (tickets were $39). This was the second to last night of a 32 city tour. Shameless plug: This is my 4250th post - since September 25, 2004 - Member #200 (the quiet Moderator). 20. You'd think that her legal team would have vetted out the possibility before she released the song. Not a fan of either artist...but all the same, this is just some group looking to squeeze her for some dollars. Greed knows no bounds. I doubt that her song diminished sales or could be mistaken for the Mars song in any way. If anything, it probably generated interest.

  25. Years ago I tried a film version with Helen Mirren. It was even more weird! Edit: When I logged in NoahLutz was the last entry here and it was weeks ago, so I replied regarding the Tempest. After I posted, the column of posts was longer.
