Talk about your derailed threads.

Agreed.

But at least the thread got the "Hot" label on it because of that

I'll start this off. First thing somebody recommends under this, I will listen to. Here are the rules

  1. After your first post, you are not allowed to post another album until you've heard the one posted under you.
  2. You can make another recommendation once you've confirmed you listened to your album. Give it a score or a review or just comment on it.
  3. You have the option to veto 1 album every month. If someone recommends a joke album, you gotta hear it if you've used up your veto. Or you can wait until the first of the next month to use your veto and rejoin. Once you use a veto, you still can't recommend an album until someone gives you a new one to finish.
  4. The only albums that are prohibited are the truly atrocious records. Nobody will have to listen to Justin Bieber or something unless you accept the challenge. You don't have to waste your veto if someone gives you a real stinker. An artist like Bieber will be ignored but if someone recommends a generally accepted band that you dislike (like I dislike U2), you would have to use your veto. If someone recommends it again, you're out of luck.

Hopefully this topic is good for MOTS and not Grand Designs. I hope this can push some folks out of their comfort zones. When recommending an album, try to challenge some members if you know their tastes. Have fun guys, don't show too much mercy

So if someone tell me to listen to a album, I have to go and buy it? :S Wow, this game sounds expensive.....

Youtube doesn't exist in Sweden? Plenty of whole albums are up on that. There's also the "other way" to get them if you know what I mean.

I dont listen to music on youtube.

That's too bad. There's a ton of music that can be discovered on it.

I like to support my bands/artists. Also the quality stink.

Artists promote themselves on YouTube. Unless you have money to waste in bands/artists you've never heard before, I like to try before I buy.

I do listen to what artists put on their own channels, and also bootlegs, and also when people are filming with their cameras at concerts.

Music stealer!!!!! :o

Neil Peart would have something to say about this.

^^^^ Hey...is that Ozzy post the first post with a link to actual music?

That'll be my first album choice. A safe start that we should all agree on. :P

Ozzy Ozbourne - Blizzard of Oz

Listen. What tracks hold up the best? Is there a hidden gem?

I do listen to what artists put on their own channels, and also bootlegs, and also when people are filming with their cameras at concerts. But I do not listen to when people are uploading official stuff.

Why not?

It's fans uploading music of a band they like in hopes getting more people to hear them and like it. What's wrong with that?

As I said earlier. A lot of people are happy with what is on youtube, so they do not buy the albums. Instead they are listening to it on youtube with stinky quality.

Some people genuinely don't have money to burn like you do so they play the music the best way they can and then likely try and see them live.

You think I got money? Ha! I am poor like a rat. Its music out there that I want. Such as the beatles box, Queen box, Steven Wilsons 2 latest albums and some other stuff. But I wait until I can afford them! I do not go and download their music just because I cant afford it.

But you'd buy bootlegs that fund people willing to rip you off and give nothing back to the artists themselves?

Segue, goose posted Ozzy's Blizzard Of Ozz after you posted. So that means you have to listen to that album if I understand the rules correctly. And goose has to listen to the album that Mayra posted under him?

Trying to get the thread back on track and I think that's how it's supposed to work.

I'd say that LittleRushmonkey should listen to Blizzard of Ozz. He was the last one to actually post a recommendation. I think it would be fairest like that. Side conversations should be ignored when it comes to an album below you.

Nope, listen to what LittleRushmonkey posted in page one. He is the real rec. Then LittleRushmonkey must hear Blizzard, and Goose must listen to Noel Galliger. And now Marya must listen to whatever is recommended next. I'm just trying to push things back on track

Sorry, due to that mega f***ing quote chain, I'm getting lost on who recommended what.

How? I just posted the order. I don't like listing because it feels like I'm demanding it. But I just want things back on track

Who was recommended what:

Surrender74: Agent Fresco - Destrier

LittleRushmonkey: Ozzy Osbourne - Blizzard of Ozz

Goose - Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds — Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds

Marya - whatever is suggested next

You call me for a music stealer? If the artists (Rush in this case) released the same music as a official one, I would buy it again. They do not lose anything on that.

Of all the music I got, I have only bought like 3 bootlegs. That is not much at all.

Helloween-My God Given Right

I finished it, i just didn't like it much. I really don't care for the singer and the songs didn't strike me as well as their early stuff did. Sorry, it had some solid guitar wok throughout though.

So I'm waiting for an assignment, over here...

I've finished Blizzard of Ozz. It was good although probably not something I'd exactly choose to listen to. I enjoyed Revelation especially though :) .

Sorry I don't know who to quote or respond to.

Me, I made the last rec.
