That being said, my favorite complete albums are all pre-Signals, but there are select songs from recent albums that are near perfect. I have probably posted my top Rush songs 20 times with 20 different answers, but I finally have some clarity on some of them...haha 1. Red BarchettaIMO, this is the greatest rock song ever put on album by any band. It's perfect. Killer guitar work, awesome lyrics, and a brilliant recording, This song has become my #1 with certainty and I have rarely said that. 2. Limelighta great mesh of poignant lyrics, catchy hooks, and a brilliant guitar solo... 3. Jacob's Laddershowcases Alex's soulful and emotional guitar work better than any Rush song 4. Double Agent a hidden gym not talked about much, but it has some of the sickest guitar work I've ever heard 5. Dreamlinebrilliant in every way and I understand why it's also one of Rush's favorites to play 6. The Analog KidThis one wasn't even on the radar most of my life, but something clicked recently and it is just brilliant 7. Leave that thing AloneRush's best instrumental IMO 8. Entre Nousgets lost with all the classics on PeW, but is such a great song 9. Distant Early WarningBrilliant song that is one of the best ones live. 10. La Villa Strangiatotechnically a better showcase of their chops than LTTA and it takes you so many different directions... Simply means that Rush's depth of great songs is vast. Nothing shocking to feel. Be shocked if a Rush fan hates Moving Pictures. Otherwise, individual songs and opinions on them should vary.
