Rutlefan
The only music I have on my iPhone (don't have an ipod) is Exit Stage Left, at least after I figured out how to delete that U2 album. My home music is on CD; my car music is on a thumb drive. I'll have to shuffle the thumb drive music I guess.

I can also select an artist to shuffle. There are "channels" as well.

goose
5. Rancid - Olympia WA I went to HS in Shelton, just up the road, so Oly was the hang out. In the 80s, it really was a great scene if you were into punk/alt rock...a real sense of community. I like how the Rancid song captures a longing for that kind of intimacy. A songfacts comment notes: "one thing is clear, Tim isn't actually alone in the song. Lars is there. So are three Puerto Ricans. It's not that kind of loneliness. You could be in a room with a hundred people and feel lonely. You could be in a city, watching a thousand people go home from work, and feel lonely. One could say that you feel even more lonely that way [like in the heart of NY City]."

IbanezJem
There`s nothing weirder than when Van Halen (complete songs) is on shuffle, which contains all songs currently out of respect for Edward`s work, and it blasts out Loss of Control followed by Love Walks In or Tora!!Tora!!Tora!! then How Many Say I? Doesn`t flow as one would like.

You haven't listened to music until you've heard Billy Joel and Slipknot played back to back lol. I like the unpredictability of the shuffle though. It's fun to not know what's coming next and be surprised.
