  1. I thought this was a really cool video showing all the intricacies that go into a Rush show plus how hard Neil actually plays (that footwork!) Bravado especially is quite insane. Just love seeing Neil explain what went into each song and how raw and upfront his playing and sound is in this video.
  2. There is also in house video of the March 22, 1994 Palace Of Auburn Hills show on the bootleg called "A View From The Palace." Test For Echo also has that famous aborted video shot at the Molson Amphitheater which had video/sound syncing problems. Never knew about that Roll The Bones video footage. Hopefully that sees the light of day sometime. EDIT: I also just watched Much More Music's Story Of Rush from 2002 and it had lots of previously unseen video from the Buffalo and Toronto Permanent Waves stops if I'm not mistaken. It was probably shot by whoever had music dedicated programs pre Much Music.
  3. Heard Max Webster's Battle Scar today for something different. They were also taking requests but they probably filtered out the Counterparts, Vapor Trails and T4E ones. I'm so tempted to send in a request for Cold Fire or Cut To The Chase but it will probably be a futile effort.
  4. Carve Away The Stone Been awhile for this one.
  5. 2112 (Overture/Temples/Presentation/Grand FInale)- R40
  6. Red Sector A- Clockwork Angels Tour (That string section!)
  7. Beneath, Between and Behind- Exit... Stage Left
  8. A Farewell To Kings- Hammersmith Odeon 2/20/78
  9. I couldnt agree more. I listen to Deep Tracks frequently but I have always disliked it since the XM merger. They play way too many obscure bands and tracks that really do not fit the theme of the channel. Its actually quite frustrating. Sometimes they surprise me but not often. If you were a subscriber before the merger then you may remember "The Vault" which was awesome. It was basically what "Deep Tracks" should be but for some reason they eliminated "The Vault" along with some other channels during the merger and it's never been the same since. Same goes for Jam On channel. They moved it to their online channel lineup and most radios cannot receive it anymore and they replaced it with the Phish channel...I mean, seriously...I dont mind Phish sometimes but to eliminate Jam On just sucked. It had way more diversity and i enjoyed it way more. With that being said, the next best thing in my opinion that it compares to "The Vault" is the "Sirius Comes Alive" channel which plays a lot of "deeper" tracks but are live. Unfortunately it is on their upper channel lineup that is online online and supposedly on some newer radios. This crossed my mind as well. Although I love hearing Rush regardless, but yeah, I would prefer to hear Neil and some better tracks than the typical ones. Im pretty sure I have heard some later songs though but still its minimal. Although I am sure they will eventually dedicate a channel to Rush, I would not be surprised if this takes another year or two. I heard one of the DJs a few years back talking about it on the air. Im pretty sure it was Kristine Stone but she was saying that Sirius was going to do a Rush channel but it takes a very long time to happen and even said it can take years to create a dedicated channel but frankly I dont buy it. They can pop on a channel for the Beatles, one for Bruce, Phish, Dave Matthews, Billy Joel, etc., in a no time but no Rush??? I dont get it but the other thing is....even if they do, it wont last forever. Even though I feel it could. They just wont play all the material and certainly wouldn't play anything outside of their studio material and probably a little bit of the official live material at best so you will probably will get sick of the channel rather quickly. Now I really hope I am wrong here but this is just how Sirius seems to go. Their might be a little bit of truth to it taking awhile as it did seem to take a long time for them to finally do a committed Tom Petty channel. It seemed inevitable after being played to death on Classic Rewind and having his own Buried Treasure show but they only did it after he died. Plus I read that management and labels are involved in getting it off the ground which is why it took so long for the Beatles to get on board. They also ran into trouble when Fleetwood Mac fired Lindsey Buckingham and it caused a big delay in the launch date. Could be a somewhat parallel path for Rush Plus the channels they do bring back (Billy Joel, DMB) seemed to be canned with the same stories and guest spots (how many times do I have to hear Don Henley talk about Billy?) Once they get started it's no problem.
  10. On a pretty good run now. Rivendell, In The End, Making Memories, Lessons, Closer To The Heart (Big Wreck) and Madrigal before we get back to regularly scheduled programming with In The Mood.
  11. Don Lombardi of Drum Channel (in description) to go with a Q and A and jam session with Neil, Terry Bozzio an Doane Perry.
  12. Mike Portnoy dug into his archives and added to his youtube channel today.
