Pink Floyd

One was enough and too many.

:goodone: They have never really done much for me.

They're about as prog as a bunch of old dad rockers wearing black wigs and tight pants to look "trendy".

I guess you had to be there.

Trendy ? Maybe after DSOTM but no fault of their own.

I was there.

They stink.

I would've had a more pleasant life if Green Day stopped making records after Dookie.

Yeah that terrific band really loved to go out of their way to f**k your life up

Nah, I don't think so, but the shitty music really annoys me. It's nice you like them enough to defend them. Enjoy!

How about liked bands that should have quit while they were ahead?

U2

I’d agree with that in regards to U2. Where do you think they should’ve quit?

No Line On The Horizon

I actually really enjoy NLOTH, but I’d cut it to get rid of the rest of their 00s albums.

Asia should have stopped after one.

Do you remember buying the second album Alpha? It should have been called Beta shouldn't it?

A crushing disappointment. Whilst the first album wasn't exactly earth shattering, just decent AOR, the second was pure crud.

Yeah I was really pissed about that, and I tried to like it.

Don't forget gratuitous use of crows!

I invite you to click the New Thread button. It's certainly a valid variation on the topic. ;)

As far as U2, Achtung Baby was the last album I owned and the bits I've heard of the rest never compelled me to pay attention anymore. I would have also been fine with ending it at Rattle and Hum, as someone mntioned, but I still like some of the weirdness they explored on Achtung.

There was a middle run starting with Meddle through The Wall that encompasses some of my favorite prog-lite rock music. Animals has become one of my all time favorite albums, right up there with any of my favorite Rush titles.

I'll stop this dispute by posting Lorraine's favourite animal to soothe her mind:

Did you mention anything about being at a concert? Why would I go see such a stinky band?

They still stink.

You're such a drag!

And you're a narrow minded man.

Ouch! I was clearly being light hearted in my last two quotes replies, no reason to go full viper. You obviously hold some deep level of animosity towards the musical artists collectively know as Pink Floyd. That must be hard, seeing how they're kinda everywhere rock music is discussed and disseminated.

Curious though how anything I've posted makes me a "narrow minded man", if by implication not thinking like you makes me... or you? Narrow minded?
