It is starting to heat up on the prairies with humidity and some forest fire smoke. I've been hydrating like crazy but am still cramping up like crazy at night. I am going to shut down some of the tree work for a few days and lay off the beer.😶

Well, I'm making up for the beer you're not drinking

I'm in the Okanogan Valley, on the WA side, and it's hot!  Thankfully we have ice cold Kokanee on hand

I used to vacation in Twisp for several years. Loved it there. It's been hot on the west side of the hill, about 95 today. It was 90 in town where I work.

Eesh!  I remember a couple of years ago it got over 100 over there.  My buddy in Shelton* lost some of his cedar trees when it hit 104.

It got up to 108 here in Maple Falls. My high school buddy in Maple Valley saw 118.

Wow!

Knowing what 108 degrees feels like and having been a biker once, I don't understand those guys riding in 128 degree heat in Death Valley.

Lots of thunder & gray clouds but no rain yet, a bit hot but not too bad.

Big waves of severe thunderstorms!  Trees are down all around town.

34 c today, 38 c on the humidex.

Shut down a Renovation and went to an air conditioned licenced restaurant.

It is still 29 c at 7pm with light winds

A welcome dip in temps gives us highs 15 degrees cooler than it has been.  :7up:

It's back into the mid 90s.  Normal for July/Aug, but after a week if cooler temps it feels blech

Hot! 99 degrees, but it is August so I guess that's somewhat expected. I used to say that in this area it didn't stay cold or hot for very long but we've already had 1 stretch of about 8 or 9 days above 90 and they're predicting another one with this heat wave. No bueno!

It really cooled down and it is a huge relief. The low last night was 36 Fahrenheit in some places here in the easiest province to draw.

Much cooler weather rolled in and the typical rain, wind, and severe thunderstorms developed. We rarely have this kind of weather here and the TV weather people are acting like it's some kind of murderous disaster.

After a very wet spring and early summer, my town has barely seen a drop of rain all month, and little to no rain is expected for the next two weeks.

What was once green and lush is quickly becoming brown and sickly!
