Entre_Perpetuo
Which so-called masterpiece is the true giant between these two? I love Rush, but Hems leaves me hangin'. Quadrophenia never fails to send me away to some distant beach in eastern Britain, feeling the cool cool rain on my skin.
geezer
IMHO there are good chances that Quadrophenia is the tallest giant in this world (but we can't definetely call Hemispheres a dwarf)
EagleMoon
Okay wasn't going to choose but decided Quadrophenia just has so much more going for it in every way. Storytelling, composition and pure awesomeness. Hemispheres is a great album but just doesn't quite come up to the same standard. Permanent-Rush
I can not choose. They are both great albums.

Crimsonmistymemory
Too hard for me to choose and I am thankfull the option was considered.Qudrophenia tour was the 2nd time I saw the who (1st time was at woodstock when I was 5) and I absolutely love love love the music and the story. The bass line in the real me gives me qoosebumps to this day and I love 5:15 and Dr. Jimmy, Love, Reigno'er Me, Bell Boy well hell like I said I love, love, love all the songs. This masterpiece transports me back to a wonderful time in my life. Hemispheres, I was always in love with side 2 but side one took some time to grow on me. So as it stands today I have such an apprecition of the whole album it spends a lot of time in my rotation. I really love, love love the album. I think both are great examples of musicians pressing their craft to the edge of the envelope to the point it exceeds the level of musicianship to be bigger than they are.

Digital Dad
quadrophinia looses for having Sting in the movie. Sting in 1979 is a far cry from Sting in 2016.

Modern_Day_Warrior
This was so gosh-darned close. I mean, come on, both albums are excellent. But.... Seeing as Hemispheres is my favorite album by my favorite band, and Quadrophenia is my third favorite album by The Who (only Tommy and Who's Next could top it), I had to choose Hemispheres. Citizen of the World
Surprised more people haven't weighed in on this one. Very tough choice. Rush is my favourite band and La Villa Strangiato is my favourite piece of music, but I still have to vote for Quadrophenia.
Blue J
Though I don't have the same connection to Quadrophenia that some other people here do, it is a brilliant piece of work. But for me, Hemispheres takes the cake.
Segue Myles
I could live without both. Hemispheres is brilliant in many ways but it has never been an addiction, and I could forget it easily. I find Quadrophenia boring and nothing pulls me in. I am not saying it is overrated, it means too much to so many members here that I can tell it's a precious work of art. I just do not enjoy it. I guess I could take Hems over Quad. But to be honest I could live without either very easily.

AnEggplant
I haven't yet heard Quadrophenia, or much of The Who for that matter. I guess it's time to take a listen!

Entre_Perpetuo
Kind of a silly poll on a RUSH message board. I thought about putting it in MOTS, but since it involved Rush and this is the place for polls, I put it here.
