AnEggplant
There's only 2 rush records i hate. VT and p/g Vt i can explain but p/g i cannot. this album register's on my hate meter and almost breaks it, lol so don't ask, lol i can't answer. Mick What about Roll The Bones? Dislike it immensly. mostly for the production. but i don't hate it. Mick For me the only salvageable things are Dreamline and the title song. Vapor Trails, production aside is really good and Grace Under Pressure beats Signals and Power Windows.
Pale Facsimile
Love PoW. Didn't embrace it right away when I first started liking RUSH in 2005, but it grew on me a lot over the years. There really isn't a bad song on there. Middletown Dreams is one of my all-time favorite RUSH tunes.
presto123
people who saw the power windows tour: what kind of reaction was the new pop shit getting? That tour was awesome. I liked the PoW stuff as good as anything. From the front row no less! I concert I will never forget...

In fact I can't think of any band I love making an album that I hate.Side one to me I honestly don't see how anyone can hate it or even dislike it to be honest. DEW and Red Sector A are as good as that era gets in my view and are as close to my 70's love meter as any synth era songs could possibly be. I could under stand the dislike for side two however especially the two glaring weaknesses (NWM and Red Lenses). 6 out of 8 ain't bad and overall if I were to rate the album I would give it a 7 out of 8. As I have said to many times it's their last overall excellent album in my view "almost" from start to finish... :)

But that his last brilliant album for me. Edited October 18, 2015 by Digital Dad

Even Zoot Horn Rollo said that UC started off very good but when he heard the final mix he was pissed. Then The Magic Band quit on him soon after. If you don't think of BJAMB as a Magic Band album you realize how good some of the songs really are.

After You've Gone is pretty much the only song I love from it. The rest is beautifully played, but then again, that goes for everything Toto has done. I don't like Falling In Between either. Their two worst records.

Geddy's Soul Patch
Power Windows...what an album :smoke: Amazing textures, impeccable song craft, and each member managed to capture a unique aspect of how they can play the instrument. It was really the last album that Geddy totally went to town on bass throughout the whole album; he rips it up, especially on The Big Money, Marathon, and Emotion Detector.I think I was the only vote for PoW in the best drum album thread. Some incredibly technical playing from Neil.

It's just one guys opinion but there are always some great comments(including some from yours truly) There is also a Waits series iirc. https://kamertunesblog.wordpress.com/2015/01/31/toto-part-3-gypsy-trains-and-turning-points/

Let Neil Sing
I was not a big fan of side 2 when I got PW 30 years ago! I hadn't listened to it for 25 years and can't believe what I had missed. I love this entire album track by track, although Marathon goes on a bit too long. Was glad to see Grand Designs and Territories on the CA tour. Unfortunately their next (HYF) was, IMO, their worst effort.

The bottom two are a toss-up between PoW and Signals, same as yours. Both have a couple of songs that I normally don't listen to- Big Money, Mystic Rhythms, Chemistry, and Losing It. That being said...the songs on Power Windows that I like, I really really like! Excellent musicianship and excellent songwriting (including the lyrics, specifically) throughout.
