She has one album that I really like. Ray Of Light

That's it... :outtahere:

Good choice!

Yep, that's the only album from her that I can listen to from start to finish.

It has that certain something. Very moody.

She can probably thank William Orbit for the result.

Yes because Madonna is famous for being a puppet on a string.

Her artistry amd success is all due to hype. No talent.

Absolute crud.

Sometimes a collaboator pushes an artist to raise the bar. It's not an insult. Ask David Bowie...

Don't ask me I was forced into 2 of her concerts......i'd rather be subjected to a Lacuna Coil discography loop.

No problem, you're a fan. But you got to expect a bit of ribbing for defending Madonna on a Rush fan forum!

I'm not a fan. I like some of the songs she recorded. That's about it.

I defend some Rush albums here. That is often way harder than an artist like Madonna!

I own The Immaculate Collection, and I enjoy every song on it.

Fot the casual fan it doesn't get any better than that album! I still feel so irritated that she could follow up her first greatest hits with Erotica.

As you can tell, I hate that album.

Not gonna lie, I'm a pretty big fan of Crazy for You. And I dig Borderline, Rain, perhaps a few others too.

I don't know if it's the music, or the nostalgia it invokes, of long summers as a kid hanging out at the public swimming pool when stuff like this would play endlessly on the radio. I guess I never really paused to appreciate Madonna before entering this thread. But yeah, she's cool. Why not?

Cool post dude! I think it's both. The music and the memories.

I'm really hitting the 80's hard on here for some reason.

Madonna, The Outfield, The Power Station, Men At Work, Frankie Goes To Hollywood and Billy Idol.

Hit or miss but a few good ones. I'll defend Frozen until the day I die. That's a beautiful song no matter what.

I think it's cool that many of us or I should say some of us on here think that "Ray Of Light" is cool. Her last gem for my taste.

I'd hardly call myself a fan, but lots of her old songs are listenable. Into the Groove would have to be my favorite. And there's this one:

Love this song! I like the movie, too. At Close Range, with Walken and Penn.

NICE!!!! Madonna's heart was already broken. Her best album by far. Then "Like A Prayer."

I don't judge an artists music by the type of person they are.

I can't stand Springsteen's politics, Bono's Messiah complex, Jim Morrisons drug addled warbling or The Beatles collective arrogance and personal drama, but I really enjoy the music they make.

Maddona is a diva. If she was a bloke it would be called "rock n roll man". Because she is a woman we call her a bitch.

I love a lot of her music, and many of her music video's are terrific.

She has fought tooth and claw to have a career according to her standards, and she rose from the ashes of Erotica's near death experience to release an album that was both an apology and a middle finger to her critics.

Plus, hee influence has speead to many of my favourite artists, and for that alone I love her.

Criticise her all you want, call her a nasty piece of work, but if she were a man we would all shrug our shoulders.
