How often do youse guys with pistols get out to the range to make sure your aim is still sharp?

Once or twice a month, training with three guns at a time on a rotating basis.

Since I got my Weatherby 7mm/08 Rem I just don't shot my Mosin Nagant anymore so I'm getting rid of it.

We went this weekend to the range, and it was a 2 hour wait. Yeah right.

Try again another day. Since they closed on of the ranges in Milwaukee, the one I go to has been WAY too busy.

I shoot 3 clips every couple weeks, when out checking the stands and trail cams. I have a shooting lane with 5, 10, 20 and 25 yrds marked

Thanks to Cygnus for reminding me that I'd forgotten to post about my Shot Show experience like I promised.

It was a real good time and there were literally acres of products for you to check out and it's been calculated that if you wanted to visit every booth over the five days of the show during the show hours, you'd be able to only spend eleven seconds at each booth, that's how frickin' immense the thing is! Being a wilderness survival instructor, I focused on visiting the dealers that sold that kind of gear. I got to visit with just about every knife manufacturer you can think of, and I'm pleased to announce that the venerable Camillus Knife Company is fixing to come back in a big way and are featuring a line of very affordable survival knives designed by Les Stroud himself! For a preview, go here: Camillus Knives. Les was there and I actually got to meet him and talked with him for a good ten minutes about being a survival instructor, what a cool guy!

notworthy.gif Big Les fan here. That's so cool.

I wonder if Bear is related to Neil? unsure.gif

I miss his show. I bet he would be a neat guy to get to know. I would love to go backpacking with him once. I can only imagine how much I would learn.

I miss his show too, but he said he was getting too old to put his body through that. sad.gif

I loved the fact the he didn't sensationalize his show. It was "real". I really respected the honesty and integrity of his program. One of these days I'm going to have to get the back catalog on DVD.

I dont shoot much, time is a big factor. i can handle my shootin irons just fine. But it is always good to keep in tune. The 12gage doesnt need much aiming.lol. TSS, how is the range were you shoot? Maybe a meetup ?? Would have to be a weekend.

I was a member at Free State in White Marsh. Place is great but I let my membership lapse because I wasn't going often enough. We could do a meet up. Send me a PM for times you are available.

I aim (pun intended) for once a month and anywhere from 100-150 rounds depending on how busy the range is.

Sweet! I infinitely preferred his show to Bear's. Glad you got to meet him.

Just got back from the local gun show 653.gif

Didn't find exactly what I was looking for, bought another carry holster and

mag holder. On way out, stopped at some tables and listen to the sellers

talk to potential customers. One table had this lady looking at this Ruger.

She put it down and left. I asked the dealer to see it and bought it on the spot.

Perfect for my wife or daughter for personal protection.

38 revolver double action internal hammer. nice for a purse

very easy trigger pull.

As I closed the deal the lady that was looking at it came back with

her husband....Snooze schla03.gif you loose. fists crying.gif

Picked up some hollow points on the way out and was done. Great day

With hunting season fast approaching, I put feelers out that I was looking for a left hand bolt action rifle, in the 30-06 range, just to be ready for a trip out west if the opportunity ever arises. A friend contacted me the other day; he had come in contact with a left hand Savage 7mm rem magnum. A little more gun than I was looking for, but the price was right, came with scope, leather sling and 2 boxes of Hornady ammo.

I'm good to go if any of you guys in the northwest or Canada want to invite me hunting

Here's my baby: Remington 700 in .270 with Redfield scope.

Also have a 1942 8mm Turkish Mauser with the crescent moon and everything!

Remington 870 12 ga shotgun that I have fired about 200 slugs out of.

And a 22 rifle and a 9mm pistol.

Yes I enjoy shooting and especially guns.
