Oh! Watch the documentary "Beyond the Lighted Stage"! It tells the story of the band, and of the people, and will give you a real appreciation for both. It's simply fantastic.

Here's the trailer:

You're getting lots of good suggestions in this thread. Personally I would suggest picking up Hemispheres, Permanent Waves, and Moving Pictures. There is so much good music on those three albums. You can move on from there.

In all seriousness, I started with Chronicles.

Don't start with Snakes & Arrows.

We don't want to lose you so soon.

1. Walk into store

2. Pick up an album

3. Look at album cover

4. Read title of album

5. Flip album over

6. Read the track listing

(optional - start at 2 again or go directly to 7)

7. If it interests you pay for it (or not - your preference)

8. Leave store

9. Listen to album

10. Repeat 9

Just find what you like on your own. It's your journey and your discovery.

Don't listen to what people tell you to listen to. Go through their catalog at your own pace and discover what you like.

This is the best advice by far including mine. So much important info to know. Then get All The Worlds A Stage...

I don't think Hemispheres is for new listeners. As much as I love it.

Go for Moving Pictures or 2112. They are the ones I started with.

Start with the first album and work your way forward chronologically and experience it like they did and watch it all unfold.

You should start at the beginning with Rush, then Fly By Night, Caress of Steel and so on, while picking up the live albums as they were released in relation to studio albums. Re-live their catalogue the way we have.

Welcome to the board! :hi:

I agree with those who said to find your own way... Take your time and listen to them all. Doesn't have to be in the chronological order, just follow your instinct! :)

And I also agree that you should watch the documentary!

:rush: on!
