  1. This is my 3rd thread as a brand new RUSH fan and I gotta tell you...............I was making my bed this morning and I thought to myself, ...........my life would have been a lot better if I was a RUSH fan earlier in my life. I know it is better late than never, but if I realized this a little sooner, I would have had a really good band get me through some really tough times. Instead of settling for crap. "Crap....yes.......but sometimes people love crap!" I would have been able to attend a REAL concert too! I'm sure you guys can relate. By the way,...does Neil write all the lyrics? "If I could wave my magic wand"...............I would have become a RUSH fan sooner.
  2. I have another question but I think I will start a new thread with it since I noticed that RUSH fan's love to read about new RUSH fan's FINALLY realizing that is just does NOT get much better than RUSH. Ooh! That would be a nice controversial thread to start! Thanks guys! And I'm watching "Live in Cleveland" for the 9th time now. I love it.
  3. I am probably going to get a sh*t storm of hateful comments directed at me for what I am about to say but I gotta be honest- I don't have $125 to spend on a RUSH DVD. That would be a great Christmas present for one of my sisters to give me. Plus, I need to get 10 t-shirts. At least!
  4. I'm still here guys! It just took me forever to read all these posts. I am overwhelmed :) Thank you (everyone) for the feedback. I narrowed it down to this- I think I will buy the Moving Pictures album and a live DVD. But which one? I asked this question in a new post.
  5. You know that feeling when you fall in love and you're high on cloud 9? Well,... is it normal to feel that way about RUSH? I just can not get over this band. For those of you who didn't read my post about where to start (CD's, DVD's), I got SO MUCH feedback and I am so overwhelmed (in the best way possible) but I have narrowed it down to this- Since my love affair started with "Moving Pictures: Live in Cleveland 2011" I figure I will buy the Moving Pictures album. But I also want to buy a live DVD. They are AMAZING live. I've never gone to a concert of theirs but I can honestly agree with people that they are THEE BEST live band. I've seen Pink Floyd at Giants Stadium, and it was amazing. But I think RUSH would be better. The lights,....the props,...the humor,...their skills. I can go on and on. But what would be the best live DVD to buy? What is as good, or better than Live in Cleveland? Thank you in advance! p.s......I am watching RUSH: Live in Cleveland for the 8th time
  6. Oh.......and are there any good tribute bands around Northern NJ?
  7. Wow!!! I love the feedback so far. You guys are great! I seem to really like "Moving Pictures" so far. I think I'm going to get that CD first. What other CD is a must? And what DVD or show or tour for that matter, is their best live performances ever? Probably a stupid question because every show they do seems fantastic on youtube.
  8. I am 39, I am a musician, and I love hard rock. Why the hell am i just NOW realizing that this band absolutely KICKS ASS!!!!!!!!! I mean WOW!!! I saw RUSH: Live In Cleveland on VH1 and it was like an epiphany. Luckily I DVR'd it and I can NOT stop watching it now. What is the matter with me? Or should I say......what HAS BEEN the matter with me? Why did it take me this long to realize that these guys are amazing musicians? I have been missing out. But it is better late than never. Now I need someone to guide me into the world of RUSH. What CD's do I buy first? What DVD's should I buy first? I love live performances and from what I understand, and from what I have seen, this band is incredible live. So if someone could point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it.
