savagegrace26
Dog Years. Speed of Love is just too dull in comparison.
Cyclonus X-1
I don't hate Dog Years, but it has an annoying chorus. The Speed of Love is pleasant for its duration.
Narps
I think neither one is really any good but at least Dog Years is playful in a ITIGB kind of way which is it only redeeming quality. I would listen to Dog Years first for the reason I stated.....

x1yyz
Dog years is lighthearted and fun. Speed of Love is middle of the road and boring.
LedRush
Dog Years by a landslide...not even close.
1-0-0-1-0-0-1
Neither are the worst songs Rush has ever done, but they're pretty equally crappy. It's a shame -- Dog Years had heaviness potential but the chorus kills it.
toymaker
I think I'll abstain from this one...
Geddy's Soul Patch
Speed of Love is magnitudes better
The Analog Cub
Speed Of Love is listenable and there's some good guitar, albeit a bit subdued compared to the rest of Counterparts. Dog Years is annoyingly bad. Geddy's vocal lines are grating to the ears.

len(songs)
Dog Years has a promising intro, whereas TSOL has nothing of the sort. Not even the 30 second break in the middle. Lyrics-wise, Dog Years, while horrible, is meant to be light-hearted, whereas TSOL, equally horrible, takes itself too seriously (i.e. at all) at the same time. Segue Myles
The Speed Of Love The most underrated Rush song, its pathetic the bashing it gets from most here!

Your_Lion
I find The Speed of Love inoffensive, but unmemorable, while I find Dog Years just unmemorable....so I guess I pick The Speed of Love
CygnusGal
I'd give a hearty meh to both songs. Neither is an example of their finest work. Musically, I find Speed of Love to be rather plodding and lyrically Dog Years to be quite mediocre. :meh:
EagleMoon
I listened to both of these today one right after another. Speed of Love is better than Dog Years, which really just plods and has those inane lyrics but it's still not that great.
Weakly Criminal
Dog years rocks, though the chorus is a weak spot. Speed of love? It's neither fish nor foul. It's not a ballad, just soft rock. Since it's lukewarm, I spit it out.Dog Years kicks SOL's backside up around it's ears.
