I heard Alex was gonna be on Man Vs Food

Since Neil fancies himself as a chef now, perhaps he'll make it on "Chopped: Musicians edition"!

I swear I saw an interview with Geddy where he said that they have never wanted to do a show like Letterman because bands never really sound that good in those situations. That interview didn't specifically mention Letterman but he said that they have gotten invites but they never really wanted to do them. Anyone know what interview that was? Perhaps on one of the dvds?

[edited to add]: Yeah, I know they were on Colbert already and that Peart was drumming on Letterman before during drummer's week or something like that.

I was always surprised about what they said about doing shows like Letterman. I don't think it's entirely true about the sound issue that Geddy mentioned.

Not many bands I like do Letterman, but Mars Volta did once and aside from the vocals since Cedric was sick for like 2 weeks before, but the band sounds pretty sick to me, sick in their signature raunchy modern prog way. It sounds good enough to tell they are insane musicians and the sound isnt terrible so I dont know why Rush thinks its so bad that it's not worth doing.

SNL -

so many, many, many lesser bands have appeared.

Maybe if Jack Black gets back on, he'll have the pull to tell LM to have RUSH on.
