There's already twice as many minutes of great music on CA than there was on the entirety of S&A.

Each of the three songs released so far is better than any song on S&A.

Based on what we've heard so far, a definite no.

The best 3 songs on S&A are the first three - Armor & Sword, Far Cry and Workin' Them Angels - so far, none of the first three released from CA stands up to those. Hopefully the remainder of the songs will be of a quality to outstrip S&A, but it's not looking good yet...

Based on what we've heard so far, a definite YES.

Some of the best songs on S&A are the first three - Armor & Sword, Far Cry and Workin' Them Angels - so far, the first three released from CA beats them like a rented mule. Hopefully the remainder of the songs will be of equal or better quality to Caravan, BU2B & Headlong Flight, I'd say it's looking pretty damn good that CA will make S&A look like Presto after a meth binge.

Voted for MAYBE. I mean how can you really judge it off of three songs? Plus, I loved S&A, so, I don't know. I'll have to hear the entire album.

Obviously, but we're not at that point yet...

It's already better than S&A.

You beat me to it.

Doesn't mean you're right though. no.gif

There are at least 9 kick ass songs on S&A. There are currently 3 with CA.

Let's wait until we hear the rest of CA before making the true judgement call. However, I'm definitely hoping it's the case, and can't wait to find out.

I'm in the "I loved 'Snakes and Arrows' Camp" and have very high expectations for this release.

I voted for number 5, "I can't speculate based on just 3 songs, but a wild guess would be yes".

I have a good feeling about this one.

I have a strong feeling it will be better, and I thought S&A was fantastic. Of the new songs, Caravan is easily my favorite and only behind Far Cry and MalNar in terms of my favorites on S&A. HF and BU2B are probably better than the majority of S&A for me, so it seems likely the overall quality of the album will be better.

The general trend for me is for Rush to get better every set of four albums as they perfect whatever trend they are on, so I can easily see CA benefiting from what they learned making VT and S&A.

I think the only exceptions to the sets of four albums being progressively better are

FBN > CoS

Signals > GuP

Counterparts > RtB > T4E

I enjoyed S & A a great deal, but the vibe I'm getting off the new stuff is just fantastic. I'm reserving judgment, but if the trend of the first three songs is continued, this could be a seriously wonderful album. What I'd really like is some real consistency off this album. If the whole album is consistent with C, BU2B, and HF in terms of enjoyability, this could be a special album indeed.
