losingit2k
QUOTE (Drummerrobin @ Feb 20 2012, 03:42 PM) Was gonna say the Farewell to Fans Tour until I saw the setlists - rush with orchestra all the way! I'm pretty surprised, after all the bashing the boys get over the keyboard years, that a setlist from that period is receiving more of a response, and with an orchestra no doubt! Be interesting to watch where this ends up! Edited February 20, 2012 by losingit2k

Dscrapre
I'd like to at least see them do a short tour with an orchestra. That's just a show I'd like to see!

danielmclark
If Rush ever goes out with an orchestra, it will be the first (and hopefully only) time that I would stay home. I hate the way rock and metal bands are merging with orchestras. It's pure garbage and I won't pay a dime for it.

I'd still go, but what's special about Rush is that it's just them 3 up there performing. I think having an orchestra behind them would kinda mess with that special magic in their music as being a power trio.
Chicken hawk
Rush with Orchestra Tour That would be GRAND !
1 of the 7
New album. I picked it before I even saw the setlists. I know, I know, wishful thinking.
The Cat 3
I voted for "Rush with Orchestra Tour," am faitly confident that this will happen. Of couse, it will be, most likely, followed by the R40 Farewell Tour. As long as they tour, I will be forking out my hard earned dough to see they live! JohnnyBlaze
I'm surprised by the orchestra vote. I thought that Rush fans would think that a big part of their magic comes from the fact that you only see 3 of them up there. An orchestra tour...can't imagine it. BUT I can imagine them playing a tune or few with an orchestra for some kind of major event/charity. R40=R30 part 2, so no. Farewell tour=the end, so no. Why aren't there more votes for another album tour? I just don't get that.

Ithe only thing I can imagine ois that fans truely love the Keyboard era. I know I do!
nobodys hero
I went with All Epics because of 2112 in it's entirety. I really want to hear the whole thing once more before they retire.
Middle Kingdom
+1 for "Instrumedly". lol. I went with the all epics tour. Would love to hear all those in their (tiny changes so subtle you think they are played in their) entirety.
Mr. JD
I picked the orchestra tour. That would be cool. Especially if they had a full choir to sing during Marathon. There is one tour missing. A "B sides" tour. I would rather see that than anything.
LeaveMyThingAlone
The tour that will follow will likely be Neil peart doing some book tours and touring with his family while Alex and Geddy continue to write and record and tour under another name. Yep, i believe we're about to see Neil and Rush as a group's last tour Edited February 21, 2012 by LeaveMyThingAlone

Yep, i believe we're about to see Neil and Rush as a group's last tour Why? I mean it could be complete smoke and mirrors, but with a recent interview by Geddy, he said that Neil had more fun on the TM tour than any other tour before. The band is playing better than they ever have, and Neil also agreed that as long as he still has the skills to play, he should be out there putting them to use. (I forget who mentioned that. It was a friend of his. I'm sure other people will know what I'm talking about.) Or maybe I'm being too optimistic? Honestly though, I doubt Clockwork Angels will be their last tour. apetersvt
Considering my favorite tunes are the epics (Lamneth, Necromancer, Hempispheres, La Villa, Xanadu, 2112, Farewell To Kings, Cygnus X1), this was about the easiest decision I have ever had to make.
