  1. Here is a video clip from the second half of the MSG show. Awesome show, I was happy to be there! https://youtu.be/w6N5W0ldpzU
  2. QUOTE (LocalsBandGuy @ Oct 23 2012, 12:21 AM) The area around the venue has been really sanitized. Wasn't scary at all. As far as the show.....It was excellent! Sound was good in Section 117, Row 2. The bass was a bit low in the mix when everything else was pounding, but stood out nicely when it was highlighted. The crowd was a lot like my wife and myself. Into it, but relaxed. We sat the whole show and enjoyed it very much. After building chicken coops for 9 hours today, there was no standing for me.....but at 42, I tend to sit where I can relax. My wife said something at the end of the night that I have to agree with. "I missed Working Man". Strangely enough, even though it's been played a number of tours before this. I liked her idea......drop 1 song from CA, put Tom S at the end of the 2nd set, and add WM to the encore before 2112. That would put it over the top........ Agreed Working Man makes every Rush show BETTER. I'm listening to my bootleg and it reminds me how awesome they were last night!
  3. QUOTE (rushfanforever! @ Oct 23 2012, 12:06 AM) So what does everyone think of the new venue in downtown Brooklyn? Just curious as I know it's located in a dicey neighborhood... Used to live in the Midwood section (Kings Hwy & Ave P) of Brooklyn about 20 years ago so things might have changed for the better....hopefully.... I'm not too familiar with the area(though I live in NYC) I would say while there I didn't notice anything odd or wierd. Mostly empty streets, quiet, people in their 20's and 30's. Seemed chill to me.

Got some nice pictures as well! Awesome! I can't wait to check it out, thanks Astroboy2112! Please burn/backup the raw footage to DVD for archival purposes, you never know if a video DVD could be made out of it!
  5. Me too lol, I'm listening to my recording of The Garden from this show, it doesn't sound bad.
  6. I got home from the Brooklyn show(Rush' first time ever playing in Brooklyn) about an hour and a half ago and I must say I was impressed by how on top of their game the guys were. Geddy's voice was top notch and they all played very well! If you went to the Brooklyn show what are your thoughts on the show? p.s. Also I made a bootleg, would like advice on cleaning it up, bass seems too high otherwise sound great with my laptop's "rock" eq. Any advice much appreciated!
  7. audio recorders are a different story...I guess I'm wondering how thorough of a search will they conduct at bag check. I also have a point and shoot, and the recorders I have are discreet, that is small.
  8. their pretty clear about the "no taping and no cameras" on the ticket. Its a new venue and while I got through pretty easy last year at MSG I have no idea what would happen if I brought my recorder to Barclays...anyone else going to this show and bringing a recorder/camera?
  9. QUOTE (ReGorLaTroy @ Sep 24 2012, 06:20 PM) QUOTE (Digitallware @ Sep 23 2012, 02:26 PM) well I finally purchased my ticket, it is in the 114 row 6 seat 10, $120 total. I just couldn't afford the $200 seats and anything lower than $100 is just too far for me. I asked so many of my friends who dig rock and they just couldn't go, so looks like I'm going it alone again for my second rush concert! Oh well it will rock! lol. Good for you... ...the show is going to be amazing. Brand new venue, hope to meet you there. Meeting up before hand at Lilliefields in Brooklyn. How far away is lilliefields from Barclay's Center? I'd love to meetup with fellow rush fans, I'll be at Barclay's @ 6pm the earliest.

  11. Whats that Rush song that goes "Anything can happen?" yeah.
  12. Seems like coincidence that Rush will play on 9/11, I wonder if they'll address the anniversary in any way... http://www.rush.com/tour-dates/
  13. QUOTE (foxontherocks @ Jun 11 2012, 12:24 PM) QUOTE (TheY2k @ Jun 10 2012, 01:01 PM) And I guess other then Kelly I'll mostlikly never meet another person yet alone a girl who loves Rush as much as I do so idk...as for the guy who is trying to find a rush gal himself...I'm there with you and I wish you the best of luck. If you're a guy looking for a gal to have fun with, just find someone you like to spend time with. The rest should fall into place. It takes time, that's for sure. I've had relationships that on paper, should have been great, but in the end, they didn't work out. In contrast, I was engaged to someone who was completely different from me. It shouldn't have worked, but it did. We knew how to (mostly) play nice, despite our different political views and the like. I think in order to find the right person who will also like (or at least respect) your love of Rush, look for a woman with an open mind. People who are close minded won't do. Some of my better relationships have been with people who are literally willing to try just about anything once. So, as long as she doesn't "hate" rock or progressive music or whatever, then all is good. Artsy women tend to be more open minded. You might want to look there. As for someone who forces you to listen to pop music, maybe look for women who DON'T like that sort of music and who like some other things you also enjoy. Good luck finding someone. I have a music lover for a husband, and we probably have one of the most diverse music collections, including metal, prog, 80s pop, goth, industrial, ska, reggae, rockabilly, country, rap, and so on. I used to hide certain aspects of my love of music from people (I am ashamed of this now, actually), because liking this or that wasn't "cool" (such as old school country). I've actually found that there are more genres of music I like than I dislike. You will eventually find someone you click with, and maybe she will like Rush (or grow to like it). Great advice!
  14. It can't possibly be the best album ever recorded, time continues to flow my friend and hopefully there will be many more good albums by Rush and other true musicians.
  15. QUOTE (metaldad @ Jul 23 2012, 09:27 AM) QUOTE (Digitallware @ Jul 22 2012, 07:58 PM) The Clockwork Angels Tour show at Brooklyn, NY Barclay's Center is even more expensive than MSG was last year That is because that place is brand new , they are going to r ape you for years to come No I'm f*cked, lol. Oh well, the price one pays for living in NYC.
  16. Point and shoots should be fine. I managed to get through a point and shoot and two audio recorders to the MSG 2011 concert, had no problem at bag check. By the way, those of you complaining about cameras its just how it is now with tech, deal with it. Some of the best live recordings come from boots and while I'm not saying a persons crappy cell phone camera will achieve that, I thank people like Tapehead2 who somehow manage to get through and record high quality boots, cheers!
  17. I'm gonna have to just get a nose bleed ticket since the 80 dollar ticket is only marginally better than the 60 dollar one, and the 100 dollar one is a joke. I simply can't afford it I'm happy for those with kick ass seats though.

  19. "If you're in the US you can check your local Barnes and Noble. They usually get a very limited supply of these special editions. I just don't know WHEN they'll get it. Last time I checked it was not yet in stock." anyone know if barnes and noble actually stocked these or is this just not true?
  20. I love the Wreckers, it may be repetitive but easy on the ears and very emotional. I hope Geddy sings it live.
  21. Yeesh its just music guys, he's entitled to his opinion however closeminded. And if his goal was to get ya'll riled up he succeeded wonderfully.
  22. phew managed to get a copy of the fanpack via ebay, still ONE left for about $50, new, price will only go up!
