I think the worst on the list is a "Farewell to fans" tour... Seems like every time a band does it - it's just a way to sell more seats and they often tour again afterward.

I would like to see Rush with an orchestra before a "farewell tour"

I picked the orchestra tour. That would be cool. Especially if they had a full choir to sing during Marathon.

There is one tour missing. A "B sides" tour. I would rather see that than anything.

well what would be the set list?

Rush with an orchestra is 100 times better than Van Halen with David lee Roth!

What a Clown!

Any tour where they play Subdivisions twice is good with me! Orchestral Rush it is!

And what, they'll never play BU2B again?

rofl3.gif You got me. Just replace with Open Secrets

Rush With Orchestra

Set 1:

Orchestral Overture

Limelight

Amalog Kid

Time Stand Still

Bravado

Mission

Jacobs Ladder

The Trees

Lock And Key

Dreamline

Middletown Dreams

Marathon

Subdivisions

Set 2:

The Big Money

Manhattan Project

Open Secrets

Mystic Rhythms

Between the Wheels

The Weapon

Territories

YYZ-Drum Solo

Alex's Solo/ Losing It (With Guest Ben Mink)

La Villa Strangiatto

Natural Science

2112 Overture/ Temples/ Finale

Encore:

The Spirit OF Radio

Tom Sawyer

Closer to the Heart (Extended)

As for BU2B , This is the tour after Clockwork Angels, so I guess we might have heard enough of it by then! Hence, not the following tour! I actually think they are going to be more memorable songs on CA than BU2B!

add Red Sector A to that list and i think it'd be awesome if they did orchestral accompaniments, but not a full tour. a few shows and a DVD/Bluray and thats it. like metallica did... but better.

Will Do. Actually I think with the release of the Secotrs box set I think it will probably show up on the CA Tour!

Great set. but shouldn't countdown come before Earthshine if you're leaving Earth?

The tour that will follow will likely be Neil peart doing some book tours and touring with his family while Alex and Geddy continue to write and record and tour under another name.

Yep, i believe we're about to see Neil and Rush as a group's last tour

Why? I mean it could be complete smoke and mirrors, but with a recent interview by Geddy, he said that Neil had more fun on the TM tour than any other tour before. The band is playing better than they ever have, and Neil also agreed that as long as he still has the skills to play, he should be out there putting them to use. (I forget who mentioned that. It was a friend of his. I'm sure other people will know what I'm talking about.)

Or maybe I'm being too optimistic? Honestly though, I doubt Clockwork Angels will be their last tour.

You have to factor in age, it takes a tremendous effort to do a rock tour in your late 50's/early 60's.

I think one more tour......let's call it R40, may be in the works. After that, Neil, Alex and Geddy may consider a well deserved retirement.
