You would think, but with some of the threads lately filled with so much horse manure, I declare this thread entirely necessarily! Agreed! The haters get much more attention than they deserve, and can overwhelm the board at times. But at least they don't dominate TRF like they dominate Counterparts. I cant stand Counterparts forum. It's more a Rush bashing site than a fan forum as far as Im concerned. I dont go there anymore. AND STAY OUT!!!! Don't worry, I will. Well thank f*ck! Wank on...

  4. I love myself way more. If it was me or Rush, it would have to be me. This should have been a poll.
  5. QUOTE (Tony R @ Jun 4 2012, 01:52 PM) It's worth the wait. A return to form that has taken them a quarter of a century to achieve. Not necessarily a classic but a distillation of the few good ideas, interesting melodies and great guitar invention that has threatened to break through over the past 25 yrs or so but never has. Holy balls. The world really is going to end this year.
  6. I would bet it will make it to $25K...
  7. QUOTE (Oracle @ May 18 2012, 06:34 PM) QUOTE (Sin City @ May 18 2012, 04:10 PM) Feck me- is this the PT forum pt 2? I said on there some time ago PT is finished to howls of derision. Now, the comments here are nowhere near as snarky, but still have the same level of denial. Guys, PT IS over. You heard it here first, just remember that Ok, so I guess you have a lot of sources close to the band to say that? Whatever Wilson does, he does. He's never been conventional and he never will be. So what if Porcupine Tree is given a breather? That doesn't mean it's over. What do you want from them? An album every year? I think Wilson was trying to avoid spending too much time in a band and wanted more time to devote to his solo efforts. In which case, fine. But if certain fans, such as yourself, don't like it, no one's forcing you into believing what Wilson has been saying. We're more than likely going to hear news about Porcupine Tree. Maybe not in the near future, but within the next two years at minimum. Maybe we'll get a new album in late 2013/2014. Who knows? Just let Steven run around in his hamster wheel. The Incident came out in '09... That would make a 5 year space between records. Do not like. SW will get my scratched out for dollars again when a new PT record comes out, and not before.
  8. QUOTE (metaldad @ May 1 2012, 01:49 PM) You say Ged and Neil can't be replaced ? Billy Sheehan [billy can sing] Terry Bozzio See ? replaced The riser would have to be taller for Bozzio... He was just here last night and played with U.K. at the Vic
  9. QUOTE (Tony R @ May 2 2012, 10:12 AM) There's a lot of people going to be very disappointed. We call those people 'The English'...
  10. The Chicago ones have been bumped in price since I got them... single digit rows went up $50/ticket and they added row 10-12 tickets for the price I got row 6 for. The lower bowl tickets that are up also went up $40/ticket.
  11. QUOTE (Tony R @ May 2 2012, 02:35 PM) QUOTE (rummut71 @ May 2 2012, 09:05 PM) QUOTE (Tony R @ May 2 2012, 01:48 PM) Just listen to the more difficult tracks on GfD, and you have Storm Corrosion... I think Raider II runs rings around anything on SC... I meant, listen to the more difficult tracks on GfD instead... Righto...
  12. It is interesting if you go out on the old hub of stub and have a look at the front center section ticket listings... Almost nothing within the first 15 rows. Chicago has ZERO within the first 15 rows in Section 2. Normally, there would already be an assload of way overpriced seats listed by the dachshund touching scalpers... If I did not know any better the 'day of' thing, while nerve racking and a bit of a gamble, has slowed this process down some. I still say give the seat numbers, pick up tickets with matching ID and credit card, immediate entry into venue. Problem solved. Like that tidal wave of common sense will ever happen though.
