Good for you :) Hope you enjoyed it.

Yes, I did! :)

I remembered that as a kid Marshmallow Man used to scare me... it was something to do with his giant smiley face as he wreaked havoc through the city. Creeped me out!

I feel like that about clowns. Brrr...

I'm not fond of clowns either.

One of the best movies that I have ever seen in my life. I was truly riveted to the chair and actually got sweaty palms, etc. This movie was INTENSE.

I can't see the picture. :(

What's the movie called??

I couldn't see it either. I treated it as a link and it shows a movie poster for Gravity.

In this film Van Damme plays an obsessed, dirty cop, hooked on drugs, with a bad marriage and he can't even shake down a hooker without making a mess of it. Then he gets shot in the head and put in a coma. It's not a bad film actually and JC does a good job of playing this character and there's good support from Stephen Rea as the bad guy. I noticed something about Van Damme flicks, he's often cast as someone from the French quarter of New Orleans or a French Canadian for obvious reasons. I also noticed his hair was different in this, it wasn't his hair though it was these sideburns that he sported before he was in the coma, afterwards they were gone. I think they indicated a roguish element to his character.

This is pretty a entertaining adventure flick featuring Van Damme as a kind of poor man's Indiana Jones with Charlton Heston and Ben Cross in support. The woman who plays the Israeli cop is really cool Sofia Milos, she kept my attention.

Very entertaining. I loved this. Between this and Avengers, Mark Ruffalo is becoming an interesting actor... And then it has "The Concert" Melanie Laurent...

It kinda left a sore taste in my mouth. I couldn't get over the fact that Hurt was really in concert with Harris, or if Harris was just playing with Evans' mind. Anyway, the ending is too much and there's no real deneoument. Yes, everyone failed except the kids and all that, but, really...

Non Stop

I couldn't make it past the first half of the movie. Yes, it has plot but the movie establishes itself to be rooted in a semi-realistic setting and then as it progresses forces you to essentially shut your brain off to avoid the gaping flaws and outright coincidences with the plot that just wouldn't work even within the established setting. It's not even a fun action movie.

Also texting is the main device that advances the plot in an attempt to create suspense. It failed. Texting is a horrible thing to rely on to advance plot or create suspense/mystery.

The only saving grace to this movie is Liam Neeson who plays the usual older badass, but I'm starting to get tired of only seeing him in this kind of role.

Great documentary and an underrated gem from Scorsese above. That movie rings so true in today's fame for fame's sake society regarding the Kartrashians et al. Great monologue by DeNiro as well and The Clash have a cameo!

I didn't know about this film, looks very interesting...

I'm interested as well.

Set in a future where a failed climate-change experiment kills all life on the planet except for a lucky few who boarded the Snowpiercer, a train that travels around the globe, where a class system emerges.

John Hurt's character looks amazing too

The Van Damme run continues!

The 1920's, boxing, gambling, the French Foreign Legion, the Moroccan desert and Van Damme, and that's all you need to know.

Another one set in the desert, a run of the mill thriller with Van Damme as a mysterious stranger who can kick ass. I suppose it's like weak rehash of High Plains Drifter with Van Damme as the avenging angel in a misbegotten town. There's a lot of good character actors in support in this one; Danny Trejo, Pat Morita, Larry Drake, Jaime Pressly, Priscilla Pointer, Paul Koslo and quite a few more familiar faces.

I could care less about World Cup, especially since Germany won, but this little dumb movie about a highly improbable soccer team can crack a lot of smiles. It's very European in take, timing and character development so it may seem "off" to American viewers, but it's all right.

Yup...I was waiting for the WC Final and Sound City had just started on the TV. I loved it! Now I must get the soundtrack.

The King of Comedy was largely misunderstood at the time of release, but has aged incredibly well - it´s way, WAY ahead of its time. I think people were expecting another goofy Jerry Lewis movie or another Deer Hunter or Taxi Driver. But when you think about the plot, it´s a scary tale of how far people would go for success and fame. That was a pleasant surprise.

By the way, this was posted a few pages back on the thread, and I saw it again last night, after more than 25 years!

Yeah it wasn't bad. There's was some decent actors in this too like Steven Berkoff as the irascible sergeant, and Nicholas Farrell as the English military guy, Jim Carter as the bad guy fight promoter and that bloke out of the TV prison show OZ. I would have liked a better ending though, we never found out what happened to his girl, or whether the bad guy Galgani ever caught up with him for not throwing the fight and killing his brother.
